Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Whether you are with family and/or friends, or by yourself with a carton of turkey flavored Ben & Jerry's (don't act like you wouldn't eat that), there is plenty to be thankful for on this holiday. So, in the spirit of thanksgiving, I decided to put together a list of 10 pop culture people, clips, videos, ideas, and moments for which I am thankful. They are in no particular order, because, like family on Thanksgiving, you obviously know which ones you like better, but it wouldn't be in the holiday spirit to share that information publically.

There are certain things that just pair together well - peanut butter and jelly, Liza and a cabaret, Kurt and Blaine - oops, did I say that last one out loud? Anyway, there's also certain things that get paired together that you didn't realize how weirdly perfect that fit. Tonight, Alanis meets Carole - yes, you heard me, Ms. Jagged Little Pill meets the recent Broadway season's singer/songwriter darling in an epic mash up. It looks like it's going to be quite the tapestry being weaved tonight in song. Join me as I continue my quest of LIVE recapping to the very end, and enjoy some Carole King while I'm at it.

The following is an interview I conducted in Chicago, Illinois, with the beautiful and multi talented Gwen Hollander who is currently on tour playing Amy March in the National Touring Company of Little Women-The Broadway Musical. Gwen's character, Amy, is described as the baby of the March family and is popular, artistic and loves material possessions, which creates the conflict in the musical as she is the polar opposite of her sister Jo on their views on how a woman should live their life.

4th Wall Theatre Company (formerly Stark Naked Theatre Company) opens its 2016-2017 season on September 9th  with Sam Shepard's Tony-nominated masterpiece, True West-a modern American classic exploring themes of sibling rivalry, art as commerce, and what it means to 'be a man.' Like a runaway train, this dark comedy about two brothers and their mutual resentment takes audiences on a thrill ride into the dark side of the human psyche, with laughs and unexpected moments of revelation along the way.  In its world premiere, the San Francisco Chronicle noted that True West is "clear, funny, naturalistic. It's also opaque, terrifying, surrealistic.  If that sounds contradictory, you're on to one aspect of Shepard's winning genius-the ability to make you think your watching one thing while at the same time he's presenting another."
