Cast Announced For Free Concert Reading Of The ROMEO & JULIET PROJECT At Bay Street Theater

Bay Street Theater and Guild Hall, in association with Jamie Cesa and Bel Chiasso Entertainment present a free concert staged reading of The Romeo & Juliet Project, a new musical, featuring the music of Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo, with book by Bradley Bredeweg. This FREE community event will be held in Mashashimuet Park in Sag Harbor, NY on August 16 and 17 at 7 pm and is the latest installment of Bay Street's ongoing Under the Stars Community Outreach Program. The performance is directed by Scott Schwartz, Bay Street Theater's Artistic Director.

Over the Tavern opened to a full house Sunday at Theatre at the Center in Munster. The play by Tom Dudzick is directed by Ericka Mac with Janet Ulrich Brooks as Sister Clarissa, Logan Baffico as Rudy, Cory Goodrich as Ellen, Isabelle Roberts as Annie, Eric Slater as Chet, Julian Solis as Georgie and Seth Steinberg as Eddie. Over the Tavern offers a hilarious look at family life in the 1950s.  Over the Tavern continues its run through August 11.

That Dog. Announces Self-Titled Debut Album Reissue To Celebrate It's 25th Anniversary

Los Angeles's very own that dog. -- comprised of Anna Waronker, Rachel Haden, and Tony Maxwell -- have announced a digital deluxe reissue of their landmark 1994 self-titled debut album to commemorate its 25rh anniversary. Due out this Friday, July 12th, it includes four non-album tracks that were originally released on various 7-inches, singles and compilations. Today, the rarity 'Buy Me Flowers' makes its digital debut on all streaming services and is available as an instant grat download with preorder.

It was 1968 when literary giant Horace Mungin penned his first published work, 'Dope Hustler's Jazz,' part one of a two volume set of anti-drug poetry. Toronto LGBT Film Festival, Inside Out, Announces Lineup

The 29th annual Inside Out Toronto LGBT Film Festival (Inside Out), championing innovative LGBTQ filmmakers from across the globe, revealed its full feature and short film lineup. The announcement was made today by Inside Out's Executive Director Andria Wilson and the festival's Director of Programming Andrew Murphy. Inside Out, which launched the first ever annual LGBTQ Film Finance Forum, has established itself as an international home and incubator for LGBTQ emerging and established filmmakers. This year's festival will take place May 23 to June 2, 2019.

Bell-Isserlis-Denk Trio Comes to The Soraya

Hailed as a dream team of performers, longtime musical collaborators and friends, violinist Joshua Bell, cellist Steven Isserlis and pianist Jeremy Denk, will unite this spring 2019 for their first-ever trio tour stoping at The Soraya on May 8. The three artists will perform hallmarks of the trio repertoire in acclaimed venues across the East and West coasts. Though Bell, Isserlis and Denk have previously released the landmark 2016 recording For the Love of Brahms together on Sony Classical, these performances mark the first occasions in which they will tour live as an ensemble. The Brahms album has been praised as Absolutely essential listening for the classical fan well-crafted, flawless killer stuff.

Red Concepcion grew up listening to show tunes. In fact, he remembers listening to cast albums like MISS SAIGON from the age of five. Fast forward 20 plus years and Concepcion found himself playing the role of The Engineer on the UK tour. He says although he knew the music by heart, he had no idea how big and epic the show was until rehearsals started. And for that five-year-old little boy growing up listening to the soundtrack in the Philippines, working with Claude Michel Schonberg (music), Alain Boublil (lyrics), and ?Richard Maltby, Jr. (lyrics) is a dream come true. 'It's wonderful as an actor to be in such a creative space,' he says. 'They don't write scores like this anymore.'

ABC celebrates the most wonderful time of the year with special '25 Days of Christmas' programming starting Dec. 1. The network joins Freeform, Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior in this fan-favorite TV event. The 'Kickoff to Christmas' begins in late November with perennial holiday treat 'Santa Claus is Comin' to Town.' The month of December is filled with special Christmas-themed episodes, the return of 'The Great Christmas Light Fight' and 'The Great American Baking Show: Holiday Edition,' and timeless animated classics and holiday films. The celebration continues after Christmas with New Year's-themed programming ringing in 2019.

As we wrestle with questions of identity and ownership, we turn to our greatest playwright to reflect on 'This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England' as staged by the first-ever company of women of colour in a Shakespeare play on a major UK stage.
