Arena Stage Announces Cast and Creative for A THOUSAND SPLENDID SUNS

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater announces the company for A Thousand Splendid Suns, adapted for the stage by Ursula Rani Sarma and based on the 2007 New York Times bestselling novel by Khaled Hosseini (Kite Runner). Set in 1992 in war-torn Afghanistan, this gripping story centers around a friendship that develops between two Afghan women following a tragedy. While facing insurmountable odds of a brutal and oppressive way of life, the two form an unlikely bond in a heart-rending fight for survival. Directed by Carey Perloff, A Thousand Splendid Suns runs January 17 - March 1, 2020 in the Kreeger Theater.

National Theatre Production of A TASTE OF HONEY Opens in the West End This Week

Bijan Sheibani's (Barber Shop Chronicles, The Arrival) production of A Taste of Honey returns to the West End for the first time in 60 years this week, opening on Thursday at Trafalgar Studios. The remarkable taboo-breaking 1950s play written by Shelagh Delaney when she was just 19 will play a limited 12-week run in a co-production with Trafalgar Theatre Productions, with a press night on Monday 9 December.

The ribbit-ing return of Ensemble Theatre's first commissioned family-friendly musical, The Frog Princess, leaps to the stage December 4, 2019-January 4, 2020. This musical spin on the beloved classic Russian fairy tale celebrates the beauty within each of us and receives a contemporary twist by local creative team Joseph McDonough (playwright) and David Kisor (composer and lyricist). This year's production is the first time it will have appeared on the ETC stage in twelve years. With a revitalized script, intricate costumes, and a lavish set, The Frog Princess is holiday fun for the entire family! Directed by D. Lynn Meyers.

David Suchet Adds New Performances To His Australian Tour

David Suchet will be making his eagerly-awaited return to Australian stages in POIROT AND MORE: A RETROSPECTIVE in early 2020. There has been a huge demand for tickets across Australia and subsequently new shows have just been added to the tour schedule. The tour will travel across the country to Perth, Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Newcastle and Adelaide. The additional performances in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide will go on sale on Tuesday 19thNovember.

Cleveland Play House Presents EVERY BRILLIANT THING

Cleveland Play House (CPH), takes audiences on a journey through grief, healing, falling in love, and (re)discovering all that life has to offer in Every Brilliant Thing, written by Duncan Macmillan with Jonny Donahoe. The National Theatre's Production Of A TASTE OF HONEY Will Transfer To The West End

The National Theatre today announced that Bijan Sheibani's (Barber Shop Chronicles, Dance Nation) production of A Taste of Honey, the remarkable taboo-breaking 1950s play written by Shelagh Delaney when she was just 19, will transfer to the West End immediately following a nine-week UK tour. A Taste of Honey will play a limited 12-week run at Trafalgar Studios from 5 December in a co-production with Trafalgar Theatre Productions, with an opening night on Monday 9 December. Tickets will go on sale to the general public from 11 October.
