Last night, Monday, May 10, The New Group opened their latest production of The Kid. This marks the final production in The New Group's current 2009-2010 season, which featured Kenneth Lonergan's The Starry Messenger and most recently, the hit revival of Sam Shepard's A Lie of the Mind, directed by Ethan Hawke. The Kid plays a limited Off-Broadway engagement through May 29 at The New Group @ Theatre Row. BroadwayWorld was on hand to capture the opening night after party arrivals.

After a long running string of musicals, Trustus Theatre is embarking on a new production of an old Trustus classic. Fans of the theatre since 1985 will remember Jane Chambers' Last Summer at Bluefish Cove as one of the hallmark productions of the first season, which was brought back by popular demand in 1986 and 1994.

The DuPont Theatre has announced that Delaware Governor Jack Markell will appear as a special guest in the musical adventure/love story XANADU for one performance only on Thursday, May 6, 7:30 pm. The show runs Tuesday, May 4 through Sunday, May 9, 2010 for eight performances only. XANADU, described as 'Heaven on Wheels' by The New York Times, is based on the Universal Pictures' cult classic movie of the same title, which starred Olivia Newton-John and Gene Kelly. XANADU was nominated for the 2008 Tony Award for Best Musical.

Artistic Director of the internationally acclaimed Donmar Warehouse, Michael Grandage, today announced new details surrounding the new Donmar season through until February 2011 including.
