Queensland Theatre Company advises theatre-goers that Nathaniel Dean has withdrawn from The Little Dog Laughed due to a neck injury sustained during rehearsals. The role of Mitchell will now be played by Tom O'Sullivan, familiar to audiences from his work in Underbelly III. The Little Dog Laughed will open on February 8 through March 13, 2010.

Give it Up!, the new pop musical from Douglas Carter Beane (Xanadu - Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Book of a Musical; Tony Award nomination for Best Book of Musical, The Little Dog Laughed - Tony Award nomination for Best Play), with music and lyrics by Lewis Flinn, is currently playing the Dallas Theatre Center through February 14, 2010. Second Stage Theatre has announced that Tony Award winners John Lithgow and Jennifer Ehle will star as MR. & MRS. FITCH in the world premiere comedy from Douglas Carter Beane. The production marks Mr. Beane's return to Second Stage Theatre where his critically acclaimed, Tony-nominated play The Little Dog Laughed premiered in 2005. MR. & MRS. FITCH will be directed by Scott Ellis, who also staged the world premiere and Broadway transfer of The Little Dog Laughed. Previews begin at Second Stage Theatre on January 26, 2010; opening night is scheduled for Thursday, February 22.
