Northlight Theatre, under the direction of Artistic Director BJ Jones and Executive Director Timothy J. Evans, continues its 2018-19 season with Mansfield Park, written by Kate Hamill, based on the novel by Jane Austen, and directed by Stuart Carden. Mansfield Park runs November 8 - December 16, 2018 at Northlight Theatre, 9501 Skokie Blvd in Skokie. The press opening is scheduled for Friday, November 16, 2018 at 8pm.

The Philadelphia Orchestra returns to Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage for three concerts this season under the leadership of Music Director and Conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin, who is currently celebrating the 10th anniversary of his debut with the Orchestra. The first program, on Tuesday, November 13 at 8:00 p.m., also highlights Mr. Nézet-Séguin's role as music director of The Metropolitan Opera with mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato joining the musicians for a performance of Chausson's Poème de l'amour et de la mer. The program also features the New York premiere of Anthology of Fantastic Zoology by Mason Bates, as well as works by Wagner and Respighi.

Award winning EMH Productions continues its seventh season of provocative and compelling theatre with the Sacramento premiere of Inversion by up and coming writer Aditya Putcha. A five-character modern day dramedy, this play made its debut at the Hollywood Fringe Festival 2017 at the Sacred Fools Theatre. This timely 90 minute play delves into the world of dating, treatment of women as sex objects, the dynamics of relationships between men and women, along with testing our understanding of what it means to truly care for one another. It had its first staged reading to a sold out and enthusiastic audience in June of 2016 directed by Elise Hodge and Produced by EMH Productions. Inversion will run at The Ooley Theatre, Nov. 1, 2, 3, 9, 10, 11, 15, 16, 17, 2018 located at 2007 28th Street, Sacramento, CA 95816.

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles (BAFTA Los Angeles) is pleased to announce that actor and comedian Jim Carrey and British actress Emilia Clarke will be honored at the 2018 British Academy Britannia Awards. Carrey will receive the Charlie Chaplin Britannia Award for Excellence in Comedy Presented by Jaguar Land Rover, while Clarke will receive the Britannia Award for British Artist of the Year.

What happens when two people follow contrasting principles and neither is willing to back off? Principle takes the audience on a thought-provoking journey on education and justice through a drama created by the differences between a new school principal who wants everything to be carried out by the books and a veteran vice principal who believes that discretions should be exercised on compassionate grounds. Written by Ivan Kwok, Principle was nominated the Best Script at The Hong Kong Theatre Libre when it was premiered in 2017. This current 2018 production will be directed by Fong Chun Kit and a new cast including Lui Si Lan, Ko Hon Man, Chris Sun, Wong Suet Ip and Poon Tai Ming, to be performed at the Hong Kong City Hall Theatre from 9 - 25 November with tickets available at URBTIX.

Back by popular demand, Bucks County Playhouse's Storytelling Series returns this fall with a new name and expanded opportunities to hear and see renowned storytellers live on stage. The opening performance of the new WORD OF MOUTH series features two special guests: Ophira Eisenberg (host of NPR's 'Ask Me Another') and Jeff Rudell (recent contestant on the new NBC hit show, 'Making It' with Amy Poelher and Nick Offerman). The fall series features monthly performances, two shows a night at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on September 28, October 19, November 16 and December 14. NST Associate Director Blanche McIntyre directs Lydia Bewley, best known for The Inbetweeners, Plebs and E4's comedy Drifters, Elizabeth Boag, Anna Fordham, Lisa Kerr, Anne Odeke and Alicia Mckenzie. The production, in association with Oxford Playhouse, sees some of the UK's most influential female voices, Wendy Cope, Jenny Eclair, Suhayla El-Bushra, Natalie Haynes, Shappi Khorsandi, Jess Phillips MP and Brona C Titley, come together to write this musical comedy based on the Greek classic, The Assemblywomen. The production opens on 13 September at NST City, with previews from 6 September and runs until 29 September. It will then run at Oxford Playhouse from 3 - 6 October.
