From the Great White Way to the Silver Screen, these artists have careers that span both the stage and screen. Today we are delving into the Broadway careers of six performers who are nominated for the 2021 Academy Awards.

In 1998, Mitchell wrote (along with composer Stephen Trask) and starred in Hedwig and the Angry Inch, an Obie Award-winning off-Broadway rock musical about a genderqueer East German rock musician chasing after an ex-lover who plagiarized her songs.

The creative team and full cast list has been announced for the hilarious, feel-good musical, The Wedding Singer, which will have its Australian premiere in just two weeks on Friday 9 April.

The criteria are that these shows have been nominated for Best Musical from the 3rd Tony Awards (the ceremony that started the Best Musical category) in 1949 to the nominations of what will now be the 74th Tony Awards in 2021. I will be determining their signs based upon their Broadway premiere date. With those rules in mind, here we go!

Arts Centre Melbourne's Morning Melodies returns to Hamer Hall to delight audiences with a stellar line-up of music theatre, cabaret, opera, jazz and dance from May to December 2021.

These works explore the heritage and experience of African Americans, decade-by-decade, over the course of the twentieth century.

These works explore the heritage and experience of the descendants of Africans brought to North America, decade-by-decade over the course of the twentieth century, and together, they form a compilation entitled The American Century Cycle.
