Garden Theatre is known for its professional stage shows, education programs, and summer Milk Money Movies, but the theatre is now expanding into interactive movies for film buffs of all ages. In the 2019 - 2020 season, the Garden will host six Interactive Movie events. The Milk Money Movie series returns with changes to the ticketing process: guests will now be able to purchase tickets in advance.

Celebrity Attractions announces FIDDLER ON THE ROOF takes the stage at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center for a limited eight performance engagement June 18-23. Tickets go on sale to the public Friday, May 10 at 10 a.m.

The Shed, New York City's new arts center dedicated to commissioning, develops, and presents original works of art, across all disciplines, for all audiences, will open to the public on April 5 with the world premiere of Soundtrack of America. The five-night concert series, conceived and directed by Steve McQueen with a creative team led by Quincy Jones and Maureen Mahon, celebrates the unrivaled impact of African American music on contemporary culture with performances by a new generation of artists. In January, Ariana Grande dropped her latest single, and its accompanying music video, '7 Rings.' The song features her sampling the famous Sound of Music number, 'My Favorite Things.' According to The New York Times, the song just topped Billboard's singles chart for the sixth time. The song is credited to 10 writers, but Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II, who wrote the original 'My Favorite Things,' control 90% of the songwriting royalties. That makes this chart-topping hit not only a huge victory for Grande, but a huge victory for the musical theatre legends as well!

The spectacular new musical Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is coming to Melbourne in August this year, playing at Her Majesty's Theatre, following a hugely successful season in Sydney. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday 15 March at 1pm.

City Theatre Company, Pittsburgh's home for contemporary plays, has announced the details of the theatre's 45th season of new works. This line-up of plays is the first curated by Artistic Director Marc Masterson upon his return to City Theatre in 2018.

In this year, the 10th anniversary of Thriller Live at the Lyric Theatre and about a decade since Michael Jackson's passing, the show has played to over two million people, is the 15th-longest-running musical in the West End and the theatre's longest-running show ever. The piece tells the story of three white female singers from Detroit who struggle to change a racially divided society by singing for a black record label. Book and lyrics are by William Electric Black. Music is by Black, Valerie Ghent (arranger/keyboards for Ashford & Simpson) and Gary Schreiner. Choreography is by Jeremy Lardieri. Director is Mr. Black.

It's tons of fun and enchanting, despite some weaknesses with the show's new book.
