His legacy will be on display in the 2018 season with commissions, new productions, major participatory events, and significantly broader outreach to Arab and local audiences. Foccroulle will be succeeded by Park Avenue Armory artistic director and Dutch National Opera director Pierre Audi in September 2018.

Berkshire Theatre Group (BTG) welcomes comedian, Richie Redding to the $5 Comedy Garage Series on Thursday, February 8 at 7:30pm.

Based on the international best-selling book of the same title, this romantic comedy takes the audience on a hilarious and wild ride where no topic is taboo and the insider tips come straight from the source a gay man. Set at a local university auditorium, shy and studious Robyn is the moderator of the English department's monthly meet the authors event. This month's featured author is Dan Anderson of Sex Tips for Straight Women from a Gay Man, but with the help of hunky stage assistant Stefan, Dan turns the event into a highly theatrical, audience interactive, sex tip seminar.

Late Nite Catechism is an uproarious piece of theater that takes audience members back sometimes nostalgically, sometimes fearfully to the children they once were. The irrepressible Sister teaches an adult catechism class to a roomful of students (the audience). Over the course of the play, Sister goes from benevolent instructor, rewarding the students for correct answers with glow-in-the-dark rosaries and laminated saint cards, to authoritative drill sergeant. These abrupt mood swings are bound to strike a resonant chord with everyone who survived the ups and downs of going to a school with an omniscient authoritarian at the helm.

Overture Center for the Arts is proud to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of the opening of the Capitol Theater on Sun., Jan. 21, 2018, with an open house, tours and three screenings of the 1919 American short comedy film featuring Harold Lloyd, Bumping into Broadway. Jelani Eddington will play the original Grand Barton Organ throughout the afternoon, including the accompaniment for the film.

Ute Lemper Returns To Cafe Carlyle with an all-new show, Rendezvous With Marlene, February 27 March 3. Rendezvous With Marlene is based on a 3-hour phone call and exchange between Marlene Dietrich and Ute in 1988.
