Inis Nua Theatre Company is proud to celebrate its 15th anniversary with the announcement of the 2018-2019 season. Music, laughter and mystery will fill the stage as Inis Nua presents the American Premieres of Inua Ellams' untitled and Monsay Whitney's Box Clever, plus the Philadelphia Premiere of David Greig's The Monster in the Hall. With the new season, Inis Nua will continue to be the only America theatre exploring exciting contemporary plays from Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales. All three works from across the pond will continue to bring Philadelphia audiences provocative, shocking and jubilant work by some of the best playwrights of today. From October 6 to 27 at the Upper East Side's Bohemian National Hall and Jan Hus Church, GOH Productions will present a Centennial Heritage Festival, featuring mainstage marionette theater productions for adults and kids and musical concerts for audiences of all ages. The festival celebrates two auspicious anniversaries: the Centennial Anniversary of the founding of Czechoslovakia (1918) and the Millennial Anniversary of the unification of the Lands of the Czech Crown, under Duke Oldrich (1018).

The National Hellenic Museum (NHM), 333 S. Halsted St., introduces its newest exhibition - George Kokines: Layers Revealed. On September 20, 2018, the National Hellenic Museum will open the first ever retrospective of the artist George Kokines. Using loaned objects and those from the NHM Collections, this exhibition traces Kokines' artistic development and accomplishments in Abstract Expressionism as well as his journey to embrace his Greek American identity.

Internationally-recognized and Twin Cities-based Ananya Dance Theatre (ADT) will present the world premiere of Shaatranga: Women Weaving Worlds, a 90-minute dance without intermission, as part of Women of Substance at The O'Shaughnessy at St. Catherine University, St. Paul, Friday and Saturday, September 21-22 at 7:30pm. Madison Square Park Conservancy announces its thirty-sixth exhibition, Delirious Matter by artist Diana Al-Hadid. Six new sculptures are installed across Madison Square Park's central Oval Lawn, peripheral lawns, and northern reflecting pool. Delirious Matter is the artist's first major public art project. It's on view from May 14, 2018- September 3, 2018.

Premiere Stages at Kean University has announced the winner of the 2018 Premiere Play Festival, its annual competition for unproduced scripts written by playwrights affiliated with the greater metropolitan area. The theatre has named Linger by Glen Ridge resident Craig Garcia this year's winner, and will present the play's first professional production this summer as part of the theatre's 14th season in residence at Kean University. The season, which runs June-October, will also feature full productions of Brick City by Ridgewood resident Nicole Pandolfo and Black Tom Island by Jersey City resident Martin Casella, as well as a developmental workshop of this year's runner-up for the Premiere Play Festival, Baton by Brooklyn resident Deneen Reynolds-Knott. 

Flushing Town Hall (FTH), the Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company are pleased to collaborate with Queens College Dance Program to present an unprecedented lineup for CrossCurrent V, featuring an upcoming work Yin Mei, the coordinator of the program, and emergent choreographer dancer Huiwang Zhang, as well as the new works of Nai-Ni Chen on Sunday, April 15th at 2 PM. A panel discussion moderated by Ellen Kodedak, the Executive Director of Flushing Town Hall, will follow the one-hour performance.

Hostos Center for the Arts continues its partnership with Repertorio Español, the award-winning Spanish language theater company, with Blind Spot, (Punto ciego), written by Gerardo Cardenas and directed by Jose Zayas on Wednesday, April 18 at 7 PM in the Repertory Theater at Hostos Community College, 450 Grand Concourse in the Bronx.

The New York Musical Festival (NYMF) announced today 11 of the 12 productions slated for 2018 NYMF. Among the shows announced in the lineup are the Next Link Project selections, as well as the first of two invited productions. Now in its fifteenth year, the 2018 Festival will take place July 9th through August 5th at locations on West 42nd Street in New York City. Dan Markley serves as NYMF Executive Director and Rachel Sussman serves as Producing Artistic Director.

American Composers Orchestra (ACO) continues its 2017-2018 season, under the leadership of Artistic Director Derek Bermel, Music Director George Manahan, and President Edward Yim, with Dreamscapes, on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 7:30pm at Carnegie Hall's Zankel Hall (57th St. and 7th Ave.).
