Mystic Museum of Art will present Norman Rockwell's Saturday Evening Post Covers: Tell Me a Story, organized by the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, MA.

In just under a week, The Music Man officially opens at the Winter Garden Theatre. Poitier made history as the first African American actor to win an Academy Award for Best Actor for Lilies of the Field in 1963. Poitier was seen on Broadway in A Raisin in the Sun, Anna Lucasta, and Lysistrata. His life is set to be the subject of an upcoming play, titled Sidney, directed by Tony-winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson.

The New York Youth Symphony Musical Theater Songwriting Program (NYYS) and Director Anna K. Jacobs have announced the 2021/2022 Season. Heading into its fourth season the NYYS Musical Theater Songwriting program is specially designed to lead students through a range of musical theater songwriting processes. 

Withers was best known for her time as a child star in the 1930s and 1940s, but in addition to her work on screen, Withers also appeared on stage, making her debut in late 1944 in the musical comedy Glad To See You. The show was originally intended for Broadway, but closed after seven weeks of tryouts in Philadelphia and Boston.

The State Theatre Center for the Arts, Easton, PA, has announced its 2021-2022 Season, the 95th season at the historic venue.  Tickets for the new season will go on sale to State Theatre Members on Monday, August 2nd, and to the general public on Monday, August 9th.

Excitement is in the air as The Winter Park Playhouse announces the six winning selections for the 4th annual Florida Fesival of New Musicals now scheduled for June 24 - 27, 2021.
