Guest musicians include John Munson, Aby Wolf, Darren Jackson, Alicia Wiley, Holly Newsom, Alexei Casselle, Chastity Brown, Minor Kingdom (Kristian Melom), Grant Cutler and Ryan Paul.

The San Francisco Symphony will celebrate its Centennial in 2011-12 and today announced highlights for the Orchestra's milestone year. Presenting an ambitious season of concerts, programs, and events, expanded education programs and Centennial media initiatives, the Orchestra's 100th season celebrates the American orchestra and its vibrant role within its community as an artistic leader and civic institution. Music Director Michael Tilson Thomas and the SF Symphony will break new ground with a two-week American Mavericks Festival both in San Francisco and touring the country; an unprecedented presentation of the most distinguished major American orchestras in one series, in one season; unique concerts and heritage events celebrating the period of the Symphony's founding; artist and composer residencies featuring world premiere commissions; expanded music education programs including instrument training for public schools and an amateur music program for adults; and a variety of media projects that explore the living heritage of the Orchestra and its role within its community.

The star-studded holiday special will feature performances by Boyz II Men, Susan Boyle, Mariah Carey, Charice, Sheryl Crow, Jackie Evancho, Josh Groban, Katherine Jenkins, Annie Lennox, Kylie Minogue, Jessica Simpson and The Radio City Rockettes with a mix of current hits and holiday classics.The 78th annual holiday extravaganza will feature a tree that is 74 feet high, 40 feet in diameter and weighs a whopping 12 tons.

A major highlight of Lincoln Center's inaugural White Light Festival this fall is the U.S. premiere of 'Sutra', a modern dance work by acclaimed Belgian/Moroccan choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui featuring 17 monks from the original Shaolin Temple in three performances November 2-4 in the Rose Theater. In the first true collaboration between Western artists and the revered Buddhist institution, Sutra combines the graceful, gravity-defying athleticism of the Shaolin monks with Cherkaoui's signature blend of modern ballet, African dance, and hip-hop.

New York City Center's seventh annual Fall for Dance Festival, running September 28 - October 9, will showcase 20 national and international companies and choreographers. With ticket prices remaining at $10 for all seats, a night of dance is more affordable than a night at the movies.
