16th Street Theater announces their Season Eleven 2018: Heroes featuring five thrilling plays about combat and those who wield weapons by authors Kathleen Cahill and Sean Christopher Lewis, and Chicago writers Ike Holter, Aline Lathrop, and J. Joseph Cox. Who are protected and served, and what are the consequences? When violence surrounds, how does one learn to speak another language?

The Riverside Opera Company (ROC), under the direction of Maestro Alan Aurelia, presents: A Wedding in Song and Dance a performance that includes tri-state area audition winners Soprano Sun Young Chang and Tenor Seunghwan Oh performing excerpts from La Boheme, performances by Dawn Daniels and Dancers performing traditional Irish Jigs and Reels; Lydias School of Dance performing ballets from Aida by Verdi accompanied by pianist Olga Gurevich. Youth performers include Brian Moses on piano, Isabel Bruschi on violin and Kristian Marino on trumpet performing a wide range of pieces including La boheme: Musetta's Waltz, 'Flight of the Bumblebee' and 'Danny boy.

Andre de Ridder, one of the most influential and daring conductors working across genre boundaries in music today, guest curates Spitalfields Music Festival this December.

Tickets are now on sale for WAM Theatre's fall Mainstage production of The Last Wife by Kate Hennig, directed by Kelly Galvin. The play premiered at the Stratford Festival in 2015 and enjoyed a completely sold-out and extended run. Hennepin Theatre Trust announces today the new live show BRAIN CANDY LIVE!, starring Adam Savage, editor-in-chief of Tested.com and former co-host of the Emmy-nominated Discovery series 'MythBusters," and Michael Stevens, creator of award-winning YouTube Channel "Vsauce" have added 24 cities to their 2017 tour starting in Providence, RI on November 14.  BRAIN CANDY LIVE! will stop in Minneapolis for one night only at the historic Orpheum Theatre (910 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis) on Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017 at 7 p.m.
