On Friday 17 March, the Olivier Awards 2023 with Mastercard hosted their Nominees’ Celebration, in partnership with Cunard at The Londoner hotel, the world's first super boutique hotel in the heart of London's theatre district. Due to construction delays caused by Hurricane Ian, the new The Baker Theatre and Education Center will open in 2024. The London Philharmonic Orchestra has announced that Cuban-American composer Tania León will be its next Composer-in-Residence, succeeding Brett Dean. The appointment will span two seasons, beginning in September 2023, and will include a world premiere in 2023/24 and a UK premiere in 2024/25.
