As part of their 10th anniversary season Rose Theatre Kingston today announces the full cast for Stephen Bill's award-winning play Curtains. Lindsay Posner directs Leo Bill (Michael), Caroline Catz (Susan), Jonathan Coy (Geoffrey), Tim Dutton (Douglas), Wendy Nottingham (Margaret), Saskia Reeves (Katherine), Sandra Voe (Ida) and Marjorie Yates (Mrs Jackson). The production opens on Wednesday 28 February, with previews from Thursday 22 February, and runs until Saturday 17 March.

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Alice Ripley, Emily Skinner, Josh Young, Emily Padgett, Nick Adams, The Skivvies and many more in a concert of Elegies For Angels, Punks And Raging Queens on Thursday, January 18 at 7:00 and 9:30. With book and lyrics by Bill Russell, who will also host and music by Janet Hood, who will serve as Musical Director, Elegies ... was inspired by personal stories of those affected by HIV/AIDS and has been performed around the world. Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev go head-to-head in Blind Date, a new play by Rogelio Martinez directed by Goodman Theatre Artistic Director Robert Falls. Today, Falls announced his cast for the world-premiere production, which features as characters some of the figures who shaped the political landscapes of the 1980s and beyond.

Under the baton of Jaime Laredo, the New York String Orchestra, an ensemble of young players from around the world who come together each year for a seminar of rehearsals and performance preparation, will give its two annual concerts in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage in late December. For more than 40 years, the orchestra has celebrated joyous music-making in concert on Christmas Eve. This year, on Sunday, December 24 at 7:00 p.m., the orchestra is joined by violinist Pamela Frank, who was once a student of Mr. Laredo, for Mozart's Sinfonia concertante on a program that also includes Vivaldi's Concerto in A Minor for Two Violins, Strings, and Continuo from L'estro armonico as well as Haydn's Drumroll Symphony. On Thursday, December 28 at 8:00 p.m., pianist Richard Goode is featured in Mozart's dramatic Piano Concerto No. 20 in D Minor. Also on the program is Gabriela Lena Frank's work Eleg a Andina inspired by Peruvian pan pipes and Mendelssohn's vibrant Scottish Symphony.

Playwright Carlyle Brown is the recipient of the William Inge Distinguished Achievement in the American Theater Award, at the 37th Annual William Inge Theatre Festival at Independence Community College, Kansas.
