11th Hour Theatre Company's 12th season comes to a close with its final Next Step Concert Series performance. This time the series features a new musical by Nathan Christensen and Scott Murphy, Broadcast.  Broadcast comes to the Next Step Concert Series June 23-25. Steve Pacek, 11th Hour's Associate Artistic Director and Co-Founder, directs. Amanda Morton is the Music Director. The Hollywood Bowl has announced the cast and creative team for a benefit performance of SONDHEIM ON SONDHEIM, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, conceived and directed on Broadway by James Lapine.

Town Hall Theatre Company (THT) is excited to announce four dynamic plays in the lineup for its 2017-2018 Season: Generations. Town Hall's Season opens with the musical The Song of the Nightingale by local playwright/composer Min Kahng; continues with the local premiere of A Civil War Christmas: An American Musical Celebration by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Paula Vogel, followed by Alan Ayckbourn's dark comedy Woman in Mind; and closes with Kate Hamill's sparkling new adaptation of Jane Austen's Sense & Sensibility. In collaboration with Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra offers a free performance in honor of American service men and woman. "In Honor of Service - An Americana Concert" is Friday, June 30 at 7 p.m. at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall in Oakland.

Theatre for a New Audience presents Simon Godwin's (Associate Director, London's National Theatre) Measure for Measure, William Shakespeare's dark comedy about justice, faith, power, sex and family. Measure for Measure is the first time Godwin is directing Shakespeare with an American company. The production runs this weekend, June 17, through July 16 at Polonsky Shakespeare Center (262 Ashland Place) in the Brooklyn Cultural District.

Red Bull Theater today announced a very special Revelation Reading: for two nights only, on Sunday, June 18th and Monday June 19th at The Duke on 42nd Street (229 West 42nd Street, between 7th and 8th Avenues) Red Bull will present a concert reading of  THE COUNTRY WIFE, a new musical adapted from the play of the same name by William Wycherley by Richard Maltby Jr. with lyrics by Richard Maltby Jr. and music by David Shire, and direction by Mr. Maltby.  

The Donmar Warehouse announces today two new plays for the 2017 autumn period.  Internationally-acclaimed theatre artist, Yael Farber, makes her Donmar debut directing David Harrower's haunting Knives in Hens with full casting that includes Christian Cook, Judith Roddy and Matt Ryan.  This will be the play's first major London revival since its premiere in 1995, when it instantly established Harrower as one of the UK's leading playwrights.

On Monday, the League of Professional Theatre Women (LPTW), a not-for-profit organization committed to promoting visibility and increasing opportunities for women in the professional theatre, welcomed Tony Award nominated and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Paula Vogel, who received this year's Lifetime Achievement Obie Award and whose critically-acclaimed Indecent is nominated for a 2017 Tony Award for Best New Play. Vogel discussed her extensive body of work in theatre, film and TV, with Drama Critic Linda Winer. Canada's longest-running outdoor theatre experience Shakespeare in High Park will mark 35 years of staging accessible open-air theatre in Toronto with contemporary takes on two Shakespeare classics: King Lear and Twelfth Night, running in repertory from June 29 to September 3 at the High Park Amphitheatre.

Discovery Channel's summer schedule is jam-packed with a wide variety of both fan favorites and all-new programming.

MGC and Headlong today announce the world premiere of James Graham's new play Labour of Love, with Martin Freeman and Sarah Lancashire leading the company. Labour of Love sees the return of MGC to the West End following Photograph 51 and their acclaimed 2013/14 season, also at the Noel Coward Theatre, and for Headlong with the multi award-winning People Places and Things, 1984 and most recently James Graham's This House.

Pear Theatre's 15th season concludes with WHAT YOU WILL, a 'Shakespearean travesty' by Max Gutmann. Kidnapping, cross-dressing, and adultery combine in this madcap comedy, written by rearranging thousands of snippets cut from the plays of William Shakespeare into a completely new plot.
