McCarter is proud to welcome a group of esteemed and emerging playwrights and theater artists to Princeton for the Sallie B. Goodman Artists' Retreat. The annual Retreat in June is a centerpiece of McCarter's LAB, a platform and creative incubator devoted to ongoing theatrical development and artist cultivation. The 2018 Retreat will take place from June 6 - June 13.

Today Scottish superstar rock trio Biffy Clyro release their first-ever all-acoustic live album MTV Unplugged: Live At Roundhouse London on CD/DVD.  Best known for their electrifying and explosive on-stage energy, this unique collection reveals a very different, but no less powerful side to Biffy Clyro. MTV Unplugged: Live At Roundhouse Londoncontains some special moments including their version of the Beach Boys' classic “God Only Knows.” This set also features a brand-new original exclusive, “Different Kind of Love,” one of the albums many highlights.  

Nelly, Joe Nichols, David Nail, Jana Kramer and Parmalee have all been added to the lineup of the First Annual TAILGATE FEST (LATailgateFest.com) headlined by country music super star Toby Keith, taking place Saturday, September 1, 2018 (Labor Day Weekend) on the outdoor grounds of the Forum in Los Angeles (Inglewood). As a one-day country music and tailgating extravaganza, TAILGATE FEST caters to the fans who show up hours before to turn the preshow into the party. It brings the stage outside to the tailgate. No packing up the party to head inside, no need to stop that game of cornhole, no need to stuff all your belongings in your pockets to last you the evening. Fans will fire up those barbeques, crack open those coolers, play games and tailgate in the hot California sun while they listen to their favorite country stars from their own tailgate as TAILGATE FEST brings the stage to the tailgaters!

Park City Institute Executive Director Teri Orr, announced the approval of two outdoor venues for the 2018 St. Regis Big Stars, Bright Nights Concert Series, by Park City City Council. All performances will be held at Quinn's Junction Sports Complex Fields, with the exception of Grace Potter, slated to perform her July 13 show at City Park. Gates will open at 4:30 P.M., and the concerts will begin at 6:00 P.M.

Karamu House, the oldest multicultural performing arts center in the country, closes it's 102nd consecutive season with the Tony Award-winning musical Passing Strange. Karamu House President and CEO, Tony F. Sias notes, 'this is a piece that is important and relevant, and speaks to and engages our millennial and 'genZ' generations.' With book and lyrics written by Tony Award-winning singer-songwriter Stew, and music composed by Stew and Heidi Rodewald, the production opened on May 10 and will run through June 3, 2018 in Karamu's Arena Theatre in Cleveland, Ohio.

Jersey Boys will open at Sydney's Capitol Theatre on 6 September 2018 for a strictly limited season. This internationally acclaimed hit musical tells the true-life story of four guys from the wrong side of the tracks, the rise to stardom of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, one of the most successful bands in pop music history. The band sold more than 175 million records and were inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame for their worldwide hits, including Can't Take My Eyes Off You, Walk Like a Man, Bye Bye Baby, Sherry and Big Girls Don't Cry, which all feature in the musical.

'The Boys in the Band' star Jim Parsons appeared on last night's Late Show Starring Stephen Colbert. Parsons openly rejects the idea that the latest crop of LGBTQ characters in lead roles arrived too late to make a difference. He talks about why it is never 'too late' for representation. In response to overwhelming demand and near universal critical acclaim, Symphonie Fantastique - the singular creation by designer, director, master puppeteer, and MacArthur "genius" Basil Twist - extends its 20th anniversary engagement to July 15. Set to Hector Berlioz's revolutionary 1830 score, Symphonie Fantastique, for the first time in New York, features live piano accompaniment by Christopher O'Riley. Hailed as a creative masterpiece when it debuted in 1998, the production, which opened on April 4, is a presentation from HERE's Dream Music Puppetry Program and a centerpiece of HERE's 25th anniversary season.
