Biffy Clyro's MTV UNPLUGGED: LIVE AT ROUNDHOUSE LONDON CD/DVD Set Released Today

Today Scottish superstar rock trio Biffy Clyro release their first-ever all-acoustic live album MTV Unplugged: Live At Roundhouse London on CD/DVD. Best known for their electrifying and explosive on-stage energy, this unique collection reveals a very different, but no less powerful side to Biffy Clyro. MTV Unplugged: Live At Roundhouse Londoncontains some special moments including their version of the Beach Boys' classic "God Only Knows." This set also features a brand-new original exclusive, "Different Kind of Love," one of the albums many highlights.

Recorded at London's famous Roundhouse venue last November, this special presentation represented the U.K. relaunch of the iconic MTV Unplugged series. Biffy Clyro follow in the footsteps of influential rock bands who have previously performed as part of the series, notably Nirvana, Pearl Jam and R.E.M.

MTV LIVE will broadcast this rare Biffy Clyro acoustic session tomorrow - Saturday, May 26 at 9:00 P.M. ET and again at 12:00 A.M. ET. Additionally, the show will repeat 5 times the following week. Click here for further details.

The concert features all fan favourites from the Biffy catalogue. "Machines," from 2007's Puzzle is already long established as a highlight of the band's live shows as vocalist, guitarist Simon Neil performs accompanied by a single acoustic guitar, while the likes of "Many of Horror," from Only Revolutions (2010), "Re-arrange" and "Medicine" from their current album Ellipsis (2016) all gracefully fit for an Unplugged performance. Yet the band also commands a sense of power with stripped-back performances of songs that were more aggressive and dramatic in their original form, such as "The Captain" (Only Revolutions), "Black Chandelier" from the album Opposites(2013) and "Bubbles" (Only Revolutions).
