On Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 6:30pm, 8pm and 9:30pm, Works & Process presents the first Works & Process Rotunda Project, a new initiative, commissioning site-specific residencies and performances for the iconic Guggenheim rotunda.

LABA: Laboratory for Jewish Culture and Mystical Feet Company present The Mar Vista, a dance/theater work written and choreographed by Yehuda Hyman in collaboration with the Mystical Feet Company (Ron Kagan, Dwight Kelly, Ryan Pater, Ezra Lowrey, Amanda Schussel and Hyman) at The Theater at the 14th Street Y, 344 E. 14th Street, from December 1-18, 2016.  Performance schedule: Today-Saturday at 8pm, Sunday at 3pm. Tickets are $18 in advance or $22.50 at the door. Tickets are available at 646-395-4310 or www.14streety.org.   

World renown dancer and two-time Emmy Award winner Derek Hough, who is set to co-star in the Dec. 7 production of “Hairspray Live!,” and NE-YO have been added as judges on NBC's new dance competition series WORLD OF DANCE.

The Chicago Human Rhythm Project (CHRP), which fosters social reconciliation through American tap and contemporary percussive arts in world-class, innovative performance, education and outreach programs, hosted its 26th Jubalee Gala November 4 at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA) Chicago, 220 E. Chicago Ave., Chicago. Attended by nearly 250 people, the event raised more than $140,000 from a combination of ticket sales, sponsorships, a paddle raise, a raffle and contributions.

STOMP, the international percussion sensation, returns to Calgary January 17, 18, and 19, 2017.  From its beginnings as a street performance in the UK, STOMP has grown into an international sensation over the past 20 years, having performed in more than 50 countries and in front of more than 24 million people.

The highly anticipated a capella performance, Vocalosity, hits the stage at The Granada Theatre onFriday, November 11, 2016, as part of the Granada Theatre Concert Series. From the artistic producer of Pitch Perfect and The Sing Off,Vocalosity takes a cappella to a whole new level with a show stopping theatrical performance featuring 10 dynamic voices singing some of today's most popular hits.

Milwaukee-born, Brooklyn-based indie electro-funk duo French Horn Rebellion will release Classically Trained on October 14 via Ensemble Records.

The "most famous reindeer of all" from the longest-running and highest rated holiday television special will be live on stage with the critically acclaimed RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER: THE MUSICAL at Bass Performance Hall November 22 and 23, for four performances presented by Performing Arts Fort Worth. This fun family classic will then head to Dallas, where it will play at the Music Hall at Fair Park November 25-27, for five performances presented by Dallas Summer Musicals.

Old City District presents Old City Fest on Sunday, October 9, 2016, from 11:00am to 6:00pm, along N. 3rd Street (from Market to Race) and Arch Street (from 2nd to 4th). Activities will include a festival stage with live music, two runway fashion shows, a family fun zone, pop-up street performances and a wide array of food, beverages, art, craft and retail shopping, with 100+ Old City vendors participating. Admission is free, with food and drink pay-as-you-go.

 Matchboxes, brooms, garbage cans, Zippo lighters and more fill the stage with energizing beats at STOMP, the inventive and invigorating stage show that's dance, music and theatrical performance blended together in one electrifying rhythm.

In their first official engagement, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts presents Dorrance Dance with Toshi Reagon and BIGLovely in The Blues Project, October 5 and 6, 2016 for two performances in the Kennedy Center Eisenhower Theater. Acclaimed tap dancer, choreographer, and 2015 MacArthur "Genius Grant" winner Michelle Dorrance and renowned versatile singer, songwriter, and guitarist Toshi Reagon combine their energetic ensembles for a dynamic collaboration honoring tap's uniquely beautiful history by pushing the boundaries of the genre.
