Tickets On Sale Friday for Chaka Khan at New Jersey Performing Arts Center

By:

New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) presents an evening with Chaka Kahn. One of the reigning divas of pop, soul and R&B - the woman behind timeless hits like "I Feel for You," "Through the Fire," "I'm Every Woman," "Ain't Nobody," "Sweet Thing," "Tell Me Something Good," and more - returns to NJPAC's Prudential Hall. From the moment she first burst onto the music scene in the 1970s as the 18-year-old lead singer of the classic funk-rock band Rufus, Chaka Khan's powerful voice and sensual, show-stopping stage presence set her apart from her peers. Throughout her solo career, she has lent her distinctive vocal style to a multitude of music genres, including R&B, jazz, pop, rock, gospel, country, classical and dance music.

A 10-time GRAMMY Award winner, Khan has racked up sales of over 75 million records worldwide, and has earned 10 No. 1 hits on the Billboard charts, eight certified gold singles, and 11 certified gold and platinum albums. Her most recent release, last year's "I Love Myself," is a new single benefiting the anti-bullying organization Stomp Out Bullying, and the Face Forward domestic abuse charity. Friday, June 23, 2017 8:00 PM at Prudential Hall. Be sure to reserve your tickets Friday, March 3, 2017 at 10 AM at NJPAC.org or 888.GO.NJPAC (888.466.5722) Group Sales NJPAC
