Larenz Tate, Nia Long Join Season 2 of HOUSE OF LIES

Larenz Tate (Rescue Me) and Nia Long (Third Watch) have signed on as recurring season two guest stars in the hit SHOWTIME® comedy series, HOUSE OF LIES. Tate will play Marty's (series star and executive producer Don Cheadle in his Emmy®-Award nominated role) younger, less-ambitious, activist brother, while Long stars as a fellow consultant and former classmate of Marty's who proves to be a formidable foe. The casting marks a reunion of sorts for the pair who earned acclaim for their work as gun-shy lovers in the popular 1997 film Love Jones. The second season of HOUSE OF LIES begins shooting in Los Angeles in November for a Sunday, January 13th at 10 p.m. ET/PT debut.

Today, in honor of the DVD release of Rob Marshall's film version of the 1982 Tony-winning Best Musical NINE, Maury Yeston was gracious and generous enough to grant me a few hours in which I could ask him intimate questions about his life, career and the future of theatre itself. Not one to mince words, Yeston is a veritable font of knowledge and it became clear during the interview that he may be as gifted and talented in his educational and mentorship skills as he is as a two-time Tony-winning composer and lyricist. Two-time Emmy(R) winner and 2009 Academy Award(R) nominee Christopher Plummer (The Last Station) will narrate Turner Classic Movies' (TCM) ambitious, seven-part original production MOGULS AND MOVIE STARS: A HISTORY OF HOLLYWOOD. Hell in a Handbag Productions is proud to remount David Cerda's parody of the classic children's television special 'Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer', now in it's 12th year! RUDOLPH THE RED-HOSED REINDEER is currently in performances at Mary's Attic and will continue to run until Saturday, January 2nd. All performances begin at 7:30. There will be no shows on Dec. 24th, 25th, and 31st, but additional shows have been added on Dec. 23rd, 27th, and 30th.
