The Weathervane Alumni Association invites you to attend a special concert benefit performance of the 2015 Broadway musical, It Shoulda Been You. The concert will star Weathervane alumni Leah Hocking (Mamma Mia, All Shook Up, Billy Elliott), Kirsti Carnahan (Kiss of the Spider Woman, Baby), Laura Hall (Wonderland), as well as Monica Rosenblatt in the role of Jenny Steinberg. The one-night-only benefit will raise funds for the Weathervane Alumni Association, whose mission is dedicated to enlarging creative and financial support for the Weathervane Theatre. The event will take place on Sunday, August 12 at 2:00pm at the Weathervane Theatre (389 Lancaster Road, Whitefield, NH 03598).

The Theatre Group at SBCC will start the season July 11-28, 2018 in the Garvin Theatre with the musical, GREASE.  Book, lyrics and music by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey.

The Theatre Group at SBCC concludes the 17/18 season with the Pulitzer Prize-winning play, CRIMES OF THE HEART by Beth Henley.

Mosaic Theater Company of DCtakes its acclaimedVoices From a Changing Middle East Festival on tour this winter, bringing several of its seminal Festival productions (I SHALL NOT HATE, VIA DOLOROSA, and the recent film adaptation of WRESTLING JERUSALEM) to the University of Oklahoma, Grinnell College, and Eastern Mennonite University for presentations of each project, and culminating in a special evening at the University of Chicago's Logan Center for the Arts where excerpts from all three works will be shared in a single evening. Utah OperaArtistic Director Christopher McBeth today announced Utah Opera's 2015-16 season. The company's 38th season will feature four productions between October 2015 and May 2016 that encompass some of opera's greatest tales of love and sacrifice.

Broadway fans had plenty of reasons to celebrate this year, with dozens of shows having opened since January, hundreds of actors having made their debuts, and many more having returned to the stage for critically acclaimed performances. Anne Commire, author, playwright and women's historian, passed away from cancer at her home in Waterford, Connecticut on February 23, 2012. Four of Commire's plays won O'Neill Awards and she received the prestigious Dartmouth Medal, from the American Library Association, for the groundbreaking 17 volume Women in World History, an encyclopedia of 10,000 women worldwide, published by Yorkin Publications.
