Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the full cast and creative team for Paradise Square: An American Musical. The world premiere is helmed by acclaimed director Moises Kaufman, with choreography by the legendary Bill T. Jones and a book by Marcus Gardley, Craig Lucas, and Larry Kirwan. Music by Jason Howland and Larry Kirwan, with lyrics by Nathan Tysen, and based on the songs of Stephen Foster. Paradise Square is produced by special arrangement with Garth H. Drabinsky in association with Peter LeDonne and Teatro Proscenium Limited Partnership.

Recent Grammy Award-winners Third Coast Percussion return to Liquid Music with new works by two incredible musical minds: the iconic American composer Philip Glass and the pop polymath Devonte Hynes, a.k.a. Blood Orange. Glass's new work, written for Third Coast Percussion and co-commissioned by Liquid Music, is his first ever for percussion ensemble. Hynes, who has also become a Glass collaborator in recent years, brings his "dense modern pop with roots in hip-hop, R&B and NYC culture" (The Guardian) to an entirely new sound world in his piece for Third Coast Percussion.

A whole lot happened in Oz before Dorothy dropped in, and Wicked has been telling that story to Broadway audiences for 15 years at the Gershwin Theatre. The milestone won't go by uncelebrated, as in just days, NBC will throw a joyous Halloween party for the ages, featuring songs from the blockbuster musical hit and a cavalcade of special guest stars, including Tony Award winners Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth. Additional guest performers include Ariana Grande, Adam Lambert, Ledisi, Pentatonix and the current Broadway company of 'Wicked.' 'A Very Wicked Halloween' airs tonight, October 29th at 10PM ET/PT on NBC.

The made-in-Canada phenomenon that is COME FROM AWAY is coming to St. John's. The show that has become the toast of Broadway and Toronto, will play eight benefit performances in a concert version at Holy Heart Theatre from January 23 to 27, 2019. The non-profit Playing For Change Foundation's annual PFC Day on September 15 promises to be its biggest celebration of global talent to date. Venues in the U.K.'s Cannock, plus Regina, Canada, and Santa Fe, Argentina, as well as Brazil's Rio De Janeiro, are a few of the newest locales that already include Brazil's São Paulo and Curitiba, Ibiza, Spain, Diamante, Argentina, Los Angeles, California and Mexico City, Mexico. The roster recently was updated with more U.S. participants including New Orleans' famed Nola Brewery with confirmed performers including Grammy Award-winning blues legend Vasti Jackson, Tin Men featuring Washboard Chaz and Tom McDermott, and Six Springs Tavern in Richardson Texas where local bands will be featured from 1 PM to 1 AM. In addition to these marquis events, there will be smaller, grass roots events taking place supporting the Foundation's efforts.

Puerto Rican artist and Broadway performer Luis Salgado (ROCKY, Women on the Verge...) returns to Latin America after making his European directing debut with ON YOUR FEET as the associate director to Jerry Mitchell. With the UK premiere of The Gronholm Method running at the Menier, Travesties running on Broadway and The Color Purple on tour in the US, the Menier Chocolate Factory today announces the cast for UK premiere of Gerard Alessandrini's Spamilton: An American Parody which opens at the theatre on 24 July, with previews from 12 July and runs until 8 September. Alessandrini directs Marc Akinfolarin, Jason Denton, Eddie Elliott, Liam Tamne and Julie Yammanee, with special guests Sophie-Louise Dann and Damian Humbley. The production renews Alessandrini's collaboration with the Menier following Forbidden Broadway which ran both at the theatre and in the West End.

The Globe is happy to announce that the Globe for All Tour will continue to bring shows to the community in 2018, with support provided by Theatre Forward's Advancing Strong Theatre grant program. Following the Globe engagement of Karen Zacarias's hilarious comedy directed by Edward Torres, Native Gardens will travel June 28 through July 1 to four of our community partner venues for free performances in South Bay, Lemon Grove, Otay Mesa, and Oceanside. Developed in the 2017 Powers New Voices Festival, it runs through June 24 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center, and then hits the road!
