Andi Chapman directs the Southern California premiere of Nambi E. Kelley's visceral, groundbreaking stage adaption of Richard Wright's racially charged novel, Native Son, for Antaeus Theatre Company. Wright's iconic novel about oppression, freedom and justice comes to life on stage at the Kiki & David Gindler Performing Arts Center in Glendale beginning April 19, with performances continuing through June 3. Low-priced previews take place April 12-18.

The Vaults today announces its new experience Sounds and Sorcery celebrating Disney Fantasia, a brand new immersive experience which will open this summer, in the year Mickey Mouse celebrates his 90th anniversary. Inspired by the classic 1940 Disney film, a series of unique installations will bring some of the world's most iconic classical music to life in a multi-sensory experience. The production will open 3 July, with opening night for press on 11 July.

The Lark Theater presents Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds Live Concert Film Distant Sky. Recorded at Copenhagen's Royal Arena in October 2017, Distant Sky captures an extraordinary and triumphant live concert featuring the band's new album, Skeleton Trees, alongside their essential catalogue. The band's first shows in 3 years provoked an ecstatic response in fans, critics and band alike, renewing a profound and intimate relationship wherever they played. The Old Globe will present a free, one-night-only event to celebrate the debut of a new book by legendary Globe Associate Artist Marion Ross  titled My Days Happy and Otherwise. This evening of storytelling with Ms. Ross and Associate Artistic Director Eric Keen-Louie will take place on Monday, April 16, at 7:00 p.m., on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage of the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. My Days Happy and Otherwise, by Ms. Ross with David Laurell, and a foreword by Ron Howard, will be available for purchase after the event, and Ms. Ross will be available to sign copies.

The Tennessee Williams Company's latest production may raise an eyebrow after seeing playwright Moises Kaufman's name attached, but rest assured, ONE ARM is most ardently Tennessee Williams' work. It is the latest production in keeping with the company's mission to bring the rare gems of Williams canon to broader audiences.

Edward Gardner will make his New York Philharmonic debut conducting Debussy's Fantaisie for Piano and Orchestra, featuring The Mary and James G. Wallach Artist-in-Residence Leif Ove Andsnes in his final appearances with the Orchestra in that role. The program will also include Bartok's Concerto for Orchestra and Sibelius's Pohjola's Daughter. The performances will take place on Thursday, April 26, 2018, at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 28 at 8:00 p.m.; they will perform the same program at Long Island University's Tilles Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, April 27 at 8:00 p.m.
