The Utah Symphony Features Dvorak's SERENADE FOR STRINGS

Join the string players of the Utah Symphony for a special evening in Park City at the beautiful St. Mary's church. On March 16, 2018 at 7:30 PM, Madeline Adkinswill direct the exceptional ensemble through pieces by Purcell, Mendelssohn, Warlock, and Dvorák. The young Dvorák gave everything he had to "Serenade for Strings," finishing the composition in only 12 days. Today, it is commemorated for its five captivating movements that range from lyrical to high-spirited to reflective, ending with an exuberant finale. Madeline Adkins has resided as the official Concertmaster of the Utah Symphony under Maestro Thierry Fischer since September 2016. For the 2018-2019 season, Ms. Adkins will take upon the role of Music Director for the NOVA Chamber Music Series during its 41st season in Salt Lake City. Before her appointment to the Utah Symphony, Ms. Adkins was the Associate Concertmaster of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
