LIFT 2014 presents After A War, today, 24 - 29 June 2014 at Southbank Centre and Battersea Arts Centre. The artistic response to war can be poetic, profound, harsh - and sometimes even surprisingly playful; a reaction to both the war itself and the long shadow it casts many years after the event.

Imitating the dog, one of the UK's most original and innovative performance theatre companies are set to bring their unique theatrical vision to the stage this autumn when they produce the first UK stage adaptation of Ernest Hemingway's seminal First World War novel A Farewell to Arms.

Fabulously entertaining fans eight times a week, BULLETS OVER BROADWAY: THE MUSICAL, based on the 1994 Woody Allen film of the same name, racked up six Tony Nominations this year. The musical comedy also recently released its Original Broadway Cast Recording, featuring a score of music from the 1920s adapted by Glen Kelly, with orchestrations by Doug Besterman. If you're like me, you haven't seen the show yet, and this enthralling album will leave you longing to see the splashy spectacle, smiling, and singing along with glee.

The New York Philharmonic will conclude its 2013-14 subscription season with The Beethoven Piano Concertos: A Philharmonic Festival, featuring The Mary and James G. Wallach Artist-in- Residence Yefim Bronfman and conducted by Alan Gilbert, today, June 11-28, 2014.

This summer, it's "almost like being in love!" Goodman Theatre produces the first large-scale, professional revival of Brigadoon -- Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick's Loewe's legendary musical of Broadway's Golden Age -- in more than three decades. Under director/choreographer Rachel Rockwell, a company of 28 actors, dancers and singers breathe new life into the enchanting tale of an 18th century Scottish village that appears every century for one day only -- and the complications that arise when it's discovered by two 20th century Americans. With adapter Brian Hill, Rockwell revisits the libretto for this production, while music director Roberta Duchak and an orchestra of 13 use new orchestrations to enhance Loewe's lilting score.

It's that time of year, and I can't help but wonder if your CD collection and iPod are Tonys ready. This Broadway season has some really interesting contenders in the musical categories, and to get you ready for the big night, I'm recapping the albums you should be listening to (or at the very least pre-ordering).

Manhattan School of Music held its 88th Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 16, 2014 at The Riverside Church (located at 490 Riverside Drive, New York City). This year, degrees were awarded to 357 graduates from the School's graduate and under­graduate programs who come from 46 states and more than 40 countries. In celebration of the anniversaries of the 1939-40 and 1964-65 New York World's Fairs-both of which took place in Queens-Museum of the Moving Image will present an exhibit of films that were made for the fairs and which reflect post-World War II-era optimism and focus on American industry as central themes. The exhibit, The World Comes to Queens: Films from the 1939 and 1964 World's Fairs, featuring excerpts from six films, opens today and will be on view through August 31 in the Museum's Video Screening Amphitheater.

New York Festivals International Television & Film Awards, now in its 57th year, announced the World's Best TV & Films winners last night at their annual Gala at the NAB Show in Las Vegas.

Today, at a press conference in Edinburgh, Director Jonathan Mills revealed the artists, companies and work from around the world which will fill the stages of Edinburgh's annual cultural celebration. Over 2,400 artists from 43 nations have been invited to Edinburgh to perform in the annual showcase of the world's great performing artists.

The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center (CMS) 2013-2014 Michael Hill series continues at the Harris Theater with French Revelations, Tuesday, March 18 at 7:30PM. Critically acclaimed and award-winning society members Nicholas Canellakis (cello), Bridget Kibbey (harp), Sooyun Kim (flute), Kristin Lee (violin), Anne-Marie McDermott (piano), and Paul Neubauer (viola) perform seminal works of French virtuosos Maurice Ravel, Claude Debussy, Albert Roussel, Jean Francaix, Joseph Jongen, and Marcel Tournier. This diverse, all-French program includes Ravel's Jeux d'eau, a serene work for solo piano that takes inspiration from the cascading sounds of water, as well as two works from Debussy: Sonata for Flute, Viola, and Harp and Sonata for Cello and Piano-known famously as two of the last three pieces the composer completed before his untimely death in 1918.

Today the Donmar Warehouse announced the full cast of Versailles, Peter Gill's new play about the legacy of the decisions made at the end of WWI, and an accompanying series of talks entitled Impossible Conversations, which will bring together some of today's most important thinkers to discuss the Great War and its legacy.
