Hershey Theatre is pleased to announce a wide variety of four outstanding Broadway productions that will take the stage at the historic venue as part of its 2018-2019 season presented by Capital BlueCross.

Theatre Raymond Kabbaz (TRK) presents La perle de la Canebiere (The Pearl of Marseille). The play is performed by La Troupe du Theatre Raymond Kabbaz (TRK's Gang) and directed by Pierre Leloup. La perle de la Canebiere (The Pearl of Marseille) is a single act comedy, performed for the first time in Paris (Theatre du Palais Royal) in February 1855. The play was written by Eugene Labiche and Marc Michel, both fine observers of the French society of the 19th century. What happens in this pearl ? The action takes place in a very bourgeois and conservative society, greatly unreceptive to poetry and any kind of eccentricity. Thereson Marcasse, the outgoing pearl, the free and generous marseillaise, shatters this incredibly narrow world. The pearl is a bomb of excessiveness in a world of moderation.

Based on Roundabout Theatre Company's Tony Award-winning production, SAM MENDES (Skyfall, American Beauty) and ROB MARSHALL'S (Into the Woods and Chicago, the films) CABARET comes to the Capitol Center for the Arts on Wednesday, May 16, 2018. The event is sponsored by TD Bank.

The Gershwins' Nice Work If You Can Get It is such a smooth entertainment and a joy to watch where and whenever it plays...if the director and cast are top notch and up to a myriad of challenges. You cannot pull off farcical material unless actors are atuned to split timing and can sing and dance up a storm. You must have triple threat performers. No problem at MTW, whose 'S'Wonderful' production keeps the audience consistently applauding for more. Dependably resourceful director Larry Raben, splendid choreographer Peggy Hickey and a stellar ensemble create real 'Fascinating Rhythm' through April 22.   

Overture Center revealed its 2018/19 season, which features nearly 100 performances, including seven new-to-Overture-Hall Broadway titles and 23 new Overture Presents shows.

Rafael Payare's highly anticipated inaugural concerts as San Diego Symphony's Music Director Designate take place as part of the annual January Festival. It will mark his only Jacobs Masterworks appearance this season and will feature acclaimed cellist Alisa Weilerstein and the orchestra's first-ever performance of Benjamin Britten's Symphony for Cello and Orchestra. He will also perform in a special Discovery Night concert on January 10, with all funds from this concert going to support the San Diego Symphony's Learning and Community Engagement programs.

Armenian-American pianist Karine Poghosyan kicks off her spring California tour on Thursday, April 12th at 7pm with a solo recital showcasing the music of Aram Khachaturian at the Brand Library and Art Center in Glendale. Ms. Poghosyan, one of the world's foremost interpreters of Khachaturian's music, will be performing selections from her critically acclaimed debut release, Khachaturian Original Piano Works and Ballet Transcriptions on the Naxos Grand Piano label, featuring many of the composer's rarely heard and relatively neglected works for piano.

Award-winning and critically-acclaimed Astoria Performing Arts Center (APAC - Jesse Marchese, Executive Director; Dev Bondarin, Artistic Director) concludes its 17th mainstage season with a production of the legendary musical Follies by James Goldman (Book) and Stephen Sondheim (Music & Lyrics), directed by APAC artistic director, Dev Bondarin (New York Innovative Theatre Awards nominee for Best Director for APAC's 2017 production of Raisin) and choreographed by Sara Brians (Resident Choreographer, Matilda, Broadway). Columbia University School of the Arts presents ten new plays written by the Columbia MFA Playwriting Students of 2018. The esteemed faculty who have nurtured these students, including Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage and Charles L. Mee, invite you to experience these innovative new playwrights.

Epic reunions and not-to-be-missed intimate conversations will take center stage during the 17th annual Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, running April 18-29. Tribeca will celebrate the anniversaries of Schindler's List, Scarface, and In the Soup, bringing three classics back to the big screen.

Juston McKinney, one of New Hampshire's favorite sons, brings his stand-up show to the Capitol Center for the Arts (Concord, NH) on Saturday, April 28 at 8pm. 

The comedy of Demetri Martin relies on equal parts absurdity, pithy observations, quick-witted one-liners and at times, awkwardness. Extreme, stifling awkwardness. And now, that awkwardness should be front and center when his "Let's Get Awkward" Tour hits the CCA mainstage on Friday, April 13 at 8PM. 

Unmatched in artistry, grace and refinement of movement, the internationally-acclaimed Cashore Marionettesredefine the art of puppetry. Performances by Joseph Cashore have astounded audiences in Europe, the Far East, across North America, and now, on April 10 at 7PM, at the Capitol Center for the Arts (CCA). This presentation is one of several free William H. Gile Concert Series performances during the CCA's 2017-18 season.

Meadow Brook Theatre's 2018-2019 season promises to please with a Michigan Premiere, a hilarious comedy, and a nostalgic musical sure to take you on a trip back in time! Forma Arts and Wellness is a new performing arts space located in downtown Birmingham. Creators Whitney Renfroe and Brandon Barranco have a passion to offer artists in all mediums a place to craft, rehearse and perform.

Michael Rader, Artistic Director of The Cape Playhouse, today announced the creative teams for the 2018 summer season. The six-play schedule, features three plays and three musicals-including three Playhouse premieres-in a season featuring Tony and Drama Desk Award-winning shows and the Pre-National Tour Engagement and New England premiere of an exciting new production of the classic movie Clue: On Stage.

Two River Theater will be presenting the world premiere of 'The Bridge of San Luis Rey' by Thornton Wilder from 2/17 to 3/18. Directed by Ken Rus Schmoll, it has been adapted for the stage by and stars David Greenspan. Broadwayworld.com had the pleasure of interviewing Zachary Infante who plays Esteban in The Bridge of San Luis Rey.

International traditional Irish band Altan will perform on Thursday, March 15 at 7:30PM at the Capitol Center for the Arts. The performance is part of a tour promoting the band's new album THE GAP OF DREAMS. The show is sponsored by New Hampshire Public Television (NHPTV) and Sanborn Head.

TV One is celebrating Black History Month with a full slate of programming offerings that embody the theme, 'Represent the Dream.' The network also debuts a new short form video campaign featuring three-time Grammy Award and Academy Award winning artist, actor and social justice activist Common, which runs throughout the month of February. In the videos, Common discusses a variety of topics related to Black history and issues affecting the African American community: racism and how we can become a better nation; activism, the power of using 'our voice' and movements like Black Lives Matter; self-awareness, his heroes and what representing the dream means today, 55 years after Martin Luther King Jr.'s iconic 'I Have a Dream' speech.

Daughtry will perform on Sunday, April 8 at 7:30PM at the Capitol Center for the Arts. Sinclair will be the opening act. In addition to the tour, Daughtry is also gearing up to release new music in 2018.

Bluegrass royalty Del McCoury and David Grisman will perform on Friday, March 2 at 8PM in the Spotlight Café at the Capitol Center for the Arts. McCoury's history with Grisman dates back more than 50 years to a fortuitous meeting in 1963. Three years later, the pair would play their first show together and they've been performing together intermittently ever since.

Singer-songwriter Liz Longley will perform on Thursday, February 15 at 7:30PM in the Spotlight Cafe at the Capitol Center for the Arts.

Comedian Paula Poundstone is coming to the Capitol Center for the Arts today, January 26.

Singer-songwriter Nellie McKay will perform on Friday, February 23 at 8PM in the Spotlight Caf at the Capitol Center for the Arts. McKay puts her spin on classics by artists ranging from Steve Miller to Cole Porter and Doris Day to the Beatles and Frank Zappa. Her original songs touch on subjects as far-ranging as her beloved dog to political and environmental issues.
