With Spamilton: An American Parody currently running at the theatre, the Menier Chocolate Factory today announces full casting for their major revival of Hugh Whitemore's Pack of Lies. Hannah Chissick directs Jasper Britton as (Stewart), Sia Dauda (Sally), Alasdair Harvey (Peter Kroger), Chris Larkin (Bob Jackson), Macy Nyman (Julie Jackson), Tracy-Ann Oberman (Helen Kroger), Natalie Walter (Thelma) and Finty Williams (Barbara Jackson). The production opens on 1 October, with previews from 20 September, and runs until 17 November.

Now on their third CD with the last one setting the charts on fire the dynamic duo of Cathy Lemons (vocals) and Phil Berkowitz (blues harp) take the band on the road again this fall.  Starting out in Gulf Breeze Florida and winding their way up to Lutherville Maryland the band now has fourteen show dates along the way.  This will be the sixth tour for the band and this year the band will include Matt Kelly on guitar, Andrew Gutterman on drums, and Augie Joachim on bass.

For the third season in a row, NVA has parity between its male and female playwrights and has continued its commitment to open casting. We believe that representation on stage is incredibly important, and strive to make our casts as diverse as possible.  Teatro Pueblo Nuevo will continue for its second year, and the season includes two San Diego Premieres, one West Coast Premiere, and one World Premiere adaptation. There is something for everyone in this season, and we can't wait to share it with you!

UK singer-songwriter Becky Bowe releases her single, 'Don't Darken My Door', on 6th March via Two Bridge Recordings. Premiered via CLASH Magazine, the single was produced and co-composed by Aidan Thompson who, as part of Max Restaino's band, played as the supporting act for Rebecca Ferguson, UB40 and Tears for Fears. You may recognise Becky Bowe as one of the Leeds Contemporary Singers who won BBC's Pitch Battle in 2017 and sang alongside the likes of Will Young and Kelis. Her previous single, 'That's How Love Works' reached Number 9 in the UK iTunes Singer/Songwriter charts and she has since been featured on BBC Introducing York. Her relationship with the BBC extends even further as she appeared as a backing vocalist for the BBC show This is My Song and sang in Gareth Malone's BBC Two series The Choir. Becky Bowe has been featured on renowned Youtube channels Sofar Sounds and Ont' Sofa, helping the climb of her tidy play count of just under 30 thousand across streaming platforms.

Now celebrating its 40th anniversary, the Prize is awarded annually to recognize women from around the world who have written works of outstanding quality for the English-speaking theatre. The Winner will receive $25,000 and a signed and numbered print by renowned artist Willem de Kooning.
