Kala Koa Entertainment celebrates 13 years of bringing the biggest and brightest names in Hawaiian music to the mainland with the 2020 Southern California Slack Key Festival returning to the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center on Sunday, January 19 at 2:00 p.m.

Tupelo Community Theatre's 14th annual Haunted Theatre, A Night At The Lyric, will be presented October 18, 19, 25, 26 and 31st from 6 p.m. -11 p.m. at the Lyric Theatre in Downtown Tupelo.  Tickets are $15 each and are available at the door.  The 107 year old Lyric Theatre has a rich past as home  for our resident ghost Antione. 

a??a??a??a??a??a??a??The Chelsea Symphony's (TCS) 2019/2020 season, RISE UP, focuses on compositions that are meant to inspire and uplift the audience. The season includes beloved works such as Beethoven's Symphony No. 9, Gershwin's An American in Paris, the indomitable Fifth Symphony by Gustav Mahler, and Mozart's Symphony No. 41 'Jupiter.' Alongside these warhorses of the classical canon, we present nine works by female composers or composers of color, two NYC Premieres, and six World Premieres. 

Theatre for a New Audience founding artistic director Jeffrey Horowitz, having just received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2019 OBIEs, today announces TFANA's 40th anniversary season. The 2019-2020 programming exemplifies what makes TFANA, in the words of the OBIE committee, one of the city's most vital institutions championing adventurous and urgent productions of Shakespeare alongside other writers.

Artistic Director Helgi Tomasson and San Francisco Ballet today announced programming for the 2020 Repertory Season. Building on a heritage of commissioning groundbreaking dance from today's top choreographers, uncovering new choreographic talent, staging modern classics, and preserving the works that make up the canon of classic ballet, the 2020 Season places SF Ballet at the forefront of innovation and preeminence. Highlights include two new SF Ballet commissions by Cathy Marston and Trey McIntyre, and a co-commission with American Ballet Theatre of a work by Alexei Ratmansky; as well as works by George Balanchine, David Dawson, Harald Lander, Edwaard Liang, Benjamin Millepied, Mark Morris, Liam Scarlett, Helgi Tomasson, and Stanton Welch. The Season's three story ballets include Balanchine's A Midsummer Night's Dream, Wheeldon's Cinderella, and Tomasson's Romeo & Juliet.

The Cleveland Orchestra and Music Director Franz Welser-M st announced details of their 2019-2020 season which encompasses 76 concerts over 26 weeks. One significant highlight includes a festival designed to explore music and art that was banned, marginalized, and destroyed during the Nazi's Degenerate Art movement, and the continuing impact of censorship on creative expression in society today. The festival will center on Alban Berg's Lulu, one of the 20th century's most influential operas, and includes partner programming with the area's notable arts institutions.

Arrows & Traps Theatre present a five-week season of two brand new historical plays about a pair of remarkable female pioneers, performed in repertory by a single cast.

Artistic Director Ray Jivoff unveiled Skylight Music Theatre's 2018-19 Season line-up of "firsts" -- five shows that have never been produced at Skylight.  "We are thrilled to announce this exciting season of well-known and well-loved shows that have not been produced by Skylight before," said Jivoff. "These are blockbuster titles that perfectly capture Skylight's mission of presenting the full spectrum of music theatre, from musicals to revues to classical repertoire. Each show is joyful and exuberant in its own way and highlights our dedication to producing inventive and theatrical musical storytelling."

The Garden Theatre announced today the addition of Xanadu to its 2017-2018 season. Xanadu joins the previously announced shows The Lieutenant of Inishmore, A Tennessee Walk, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Xanadu performances begin Friday, July 6, 2018, at 8:00 p.m. with a limited run through Sunday, July 29, 2018.

Buffalo Theatre Ensemble (BTE), the professional Equity company in residence at the McAninch Arts Center opens its 2017-2018 season with "The 39 Steps," adapted by Patrick Barlow from the novel by John Buchan. BTE Ensemble Member Kurt Naebig* directs this zany Hitchcock-inspired whodunit.  Performances runSept. 7-Oct. 8. There will be a preview performance on Sept. 7 at 8 p.m.; press opening is Friday, Sept. 8 at 8 p.m.

The Metropolitan Opera's 2017-18 season will feature 220 performances of 26 works, including two Met premieres, one co-commissioned by the company and one an older masterpiece having its first Met performances; a variety of repertory favorites, three in new productions; and performances of Verdi's towering concert work for soloists, orchestra, and chorus, the Requiem. Of note, Broadway star Kelli O'Hara is set to return to the Met in Così fan tutte this season.

San Francisco Opera General Director Matthew Shilvock and Music Director Nicola Luisotti today announced plans for the 2017-18 repertory season. The Company's 95th season will open Friday, September 8 with a gala performance of Giacomo Puccini'sTurandot led by Maestro Luisotti and an international cast starring Martina Serafin, Maria Agresta and Brian Jagde.

The performance schedule has been changed for 'Light Up The Night,' a theatrical concert of rediscovered and restored Yiddish theater songs by Ellstein, Goldfaden, Olshanetsky, Rumshinsky, and Secunda, to be presented by National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene (NYTF) January 1 in Edmond J. Safra Hall at Museum of Jewish Heritage, 36 Battery Place, Manhattan.  Originally two shows were planned, at 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM.  The 2:00 PM performance continues as scheduled but the 6:00 PM performance has been canceled.

 To ring in the New Year, on January 1 National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene (NYTF) will present 'Light Up The Night,' a concert of rediscovered and restored pre- and post-WWII music from the theatrical works of the great composers of the Golden Age of Yiddish Theater.  These include Ellstein, Goldfaden, Olshanetsky, Rumshinsky and Secunda.  All are leading songwriters from the era of 'The Golden Bride,' which was presented by Folksbiene Theatre in 2015 and 2016.  The cast will feature performers who were acclaimed in that production, backed by a 16-piece orchestra.  The production is in Yiddish with projected supertitles.  The full concert will be offered twice, at 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM, in Edmond J. Safra Hall at Museum of Jewish Heritage, 36 Battery Place.

Peninsula Players Theatre, America's oldest professional resident summer theater and Door County's theatrical icon, is thrilled to announce its 82nd season performing June 13 through October 15, 2017.  Nestled along Door County, Wisconsin's scenic shore, the award-winning acting company of Peninsula Players has been enthralling generations of audiences in its 600-plus seat, all-weather pavilion since 1935, presenting hundreds of pre-Broadway tryouts, world premieres, classic dramas, comedies and musicals.

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival wrapped up the 2016 season on October 30 with the final performances of Great Expectations, Richard II, Twelfth Night and The Yeomen of the Guard. Preparations for the 2017 season and 2017 member ticket sales are already underway. The 2017 opening weekend is February 24-26; preview performances begin February 17.

Rivertown Theaters is getting ready to present a spectacular lineup of productions for the 2016-2017 season beginning with 'Let The Good Times Roll' starring the Big Easy Buddies opening September 9.

Elvis Week 2016 at Elvis Presley's Graceland will feature more than 25 events including live music, the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest, the Auction at Graceland and panel discussions with the musicians, co-stars and friends of Elvis that knew him best.

Artistic Director Robert Falls announces the 2016/2017 Season-his 30th year as "Chicago's most essential director" (Chicago Tribune) and the creative force behind the 92-year old not-for-profit Goodman Theatre, "one of the country's most respected stages" (NPR ).

The Metropolitan Opera's 2016-17 season, the 50th anniversary of its home at Lincoln Center, will feature 225 opera performances of 26 operas in a varied repertory that ranges from 18th century masterpieces to one of the most acclaimed operas in recent years. Repertoire for the company's 132nd season will include the Met premiere of Finnish composer Kaija Saariaho's 2000 opera L'Amour de Loin, as well as new stagings of Wagner's Tristan und Isolde, Rossini's Guillaume Tell, Gounod's Romeo et Juliette, Dvo?ak's Rusalka, and Strauss's Der Rosenkavalier. A gala concert on May 7, 2017 will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the company's Lincoln Center location with performances by opera's leading stars honoring the Met's past and future. Ticket prices will not increase, remaining the same as in the current season, and audience development programs instituted by the company in recent years will continue.

In its 103rd year, the Houston Symphony announced the upcoming season at Jones Hall on Monday, January 25, in front of several hundred guests and supporters, emphasizing the institution's ongoing collaboration with living composers, a continued focus on new music, a renewed concentration on innovative programming, and world-class musicianship and entertainment. Houston Symphony Music Director Orozco-Estrada, Principal POPS Conductor Michael Krajewski, and Executive Director/CEO Mark C. Hanson were on hand to unveil the new season and share their favorite highlights.
