Cortland Repertory Theatre closes their 47th annual summer season of professional live theatre with the regional premiere of the musical "The Rat Pack Lounge"

Gingold Theatrical Group announces that performances will begin this evening for the Shaw's timely classic comedy Heartbreak House, at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues) and continue through September 29th only.  Opening Night for this limited Off-Broadway engagement is set for Sunday September 9th.

Blues Hall of Fame member, Tom "the Suit" Forst will share his story "From the Boardroom to the Bandstand" in words and music accompanied by his band, when the Palace Theater's new 2ND ACT series debuts Monday September 17 at 6:00pm Tickets for 2ND ACT, the new monthly speaker's series featuring stories presented by ordinary people doing extraordinary things after mid-life, include a light meal.

Bach's majestic music, as seen through the eyes of legendary conductor Stokowski, and Wagner's terrifying "Ride of the Valkyries" are paired with the rich orchestral palettes of Dukas' The Sorcerer's Apprentice and Strauss' iconic Also Sprach Zarathustra, made famous by the film 2001: A Space Odyssey.

The Carnegie is kicking off its 2018-19 Theatre season with flashy costumes, Motown music, and plenty of drama. The Tony Award-winning musical DREAMGIRLS will open Today, August 11 and run weekends through August 26, 2018.

This exciting musical has music written by Alan Menken, lyrics by Jack Feldman and a book by Harvey Fierstein, and is based on the film written by Bob Tzudiker and Noni White.  Performances of CRT's production will be held at the Little York Pavilion in Preble, and run from July 11 - 28 with evening show times at 7:30.  Matinees are available on July 13, 15, 18, 22, and 25 at 2:00 PM.  Tickets may be purchased by calling 800-427-6160 or by visiting the CRT Box Office at 24 Port Watson Street in downtown Cortland. I have never been to the Pinewood Bowl in Lincoln, Nebraska. Lincoln, our neighbor to the west, is a short 40 minute drive from Omaha on a good day. When the Huskers are playing, that is another story.

On Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade will host its annual black-tie "Wild About Kids" Gala, with the exciting theme "A Night in Havana," at the JW Marriott Marquis Miami.
