Dixon Place To Present EVELYN: A NEW MUSICAL

Evelyn: The Musical presents one night only limited engagement in NYC at Dixon Place.

Based on the iconic photo published in the New York Times titled "The Most Beautiful Suicide," Evelyn follows the life of Evelyn McHale, who tragically took her life by jumping off of the Empire State Building in 1947. Both heart wrenching and heart warming, Evelyn touches upon themes of feminism, family, and sexuality- while also carefully depicting the cautious affects of mental illness in the 1940's.

Under the leadership of book writer, lyricist and composer Quenton Ellis, Evelyn will be directed by Heather Bildman and produced by Rikki Ziegelman and Hayden Anderson. Rounding out the creative team Jason Liebson as the Music Director, Mike Schulz as the Lighting and Sound Designer, and Olivia "O" Bennington as the Hair and Makeup Artist.

Dixon Place is a non-profit organization dedicated to presenting original works. After Evelyn's previous lab and workshop at Marymount Manhattan College, creator Quenton Ellis is excited to further develop his original musical through the new possibilities presented at this versatile venue. The Dixon Place Lounge is open before and after the show and you can bring your drink in the theatre! Bar proceeds directly support Dixon Place's arts and mission.

Evelyn will premiere on November 9th, 2018 at 10pm at Dixon Place, with ticketing information and complete casting to be announced.
