The White Plains Performing Arts Center (WPPAC) is proud to announce an exciting fall season featuring AIDA, NEWSIES, Lainie Kazan, and more!

Over the last decade, Ryan Murphy has become one of the most influential creators in entertainment. The screenwriter, director and producer has won six Emmy Awards out of 28 nominations and a Tony Award in 2019 for Best Revival of a Play, as a producer. He has also earned three Grammy Award nominations, as a producer.

Some of the most talented students in Austin tear up the stage in HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING, a Summer Stock Austin musical production you won't want to miss this August. They'll overwhelm you with talent, make you laugh until your sides hurt, and astonish you with show stopping musical numbers. This production not only boasts top-tier young talent but quality in all elements merging together to create the final product. Walking into the theater, you're immediately struck by the strength of the production value, most prominently featured by the impressive wrap around set that was sadly underutilized.

The 2019-2020 Broadway season is in full gear! Thirty-eight productions have been announced so far to hit the Great White Way this season, so there is plenty for theatergoers to look forward to! With all such a variety of musicals and plays, new works and revivals, we're getting you prepared by giving you a peek at each of the productions announced to arrived on the Great White Way this season! First Stage is delighted to announce its upcoming 2019/20 season. The 33rd season includes a little something for every member of the family - including Madeleine L'Engle's beloved sci-fi/fantasy adventure A WRINKLE IN TIME; an epic musical battle royale in THE LEGEND OF ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS; a cup overflowing with heart and inspiration in playwright/actor James DeVita's world premiere play ALEX AND THE AMAZING LEMONADE STAND; a huge dose of holiday cheer in ELF - The Musical, which leaps from the screen to Broadway and now to First Stage; the bilingual, world premiere play ON THE WINGS OF A MARIPOSA - and so much more! This upcoming season is bound to offer the best family experiences in Milwaukee and to those Milwaukee theatergoers who enjoy great theater.

Lotus Music & Dance will celebrate its 30th Anniversary in 2019 with a benefit dinner and performance on Monday, March 25th. This year also marks the 100th Birth Anniversary of bharata natyam dance guru, T. Balasaraswati (“Bala”). They will honor legendary choreographer, George Faison with the inaugural Bala Award for Excellence . Other Honorees include Manhattan Borough President, Gale Brewer for her support of cultural diversity in the performing arts.

This fall, the Hopkins Center for the Arts at Dartmouth College launches a partnership with North America's preeminent Shakespeare company, the Stratford Festival, involving the US premiere of historic and critically acclaimed production of Shakespeare's Coriolanus, directed by genre-defying theatermaker Robert Lepage.  

Award-winning actor, writer, director, producer, polymath and advocate for science communication Alan Alda has been named the 55th recipient of SAG-AFTRA's highest tribute: the SAG Life Achievement Award for career achievement and humanitarian accomplishment. Alda will be presented the performers union's top accolade at the 25th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards®, which will be simulcast live on TNT and TBS on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019, at 8 p.m. (ET)/ 5 p.m. (PT).

This fall, the Hopkins Center for the Arts at Dartmouth College launches a partnership with North America's preeminent Shakespeare company, the Stratford Festival, involving the US premiere of historic and critically acclaimed production of Shakespeare's Coriolanus, directed by genre-defying theatermaker Robert Lepage.  

The Arthur Newman Theatre at the Joslyn Senior Center in Palm Desert is set to reopen under the artistic direction of CLago Productions. A season of five shows has been announced beginning September 20 and running through December 9 of this year.

SITTING SHOTGUN's Fall 2018 mainstage season includes a contemporary reimagining of The Mad Dog Blues by Sam Shepard, a reading series of new plays, a new devised piece, and a premier of an original play, as well as a festival of horror themed work created by resident ensembles [REALITY PENDING], Cucumber Dogs, and Don't Trust the Postal Service (DTPS) to be presented throughout October. Cucumber Dogs will also present two new pieces at Theater for the New City's Dream Up Festival in August and FringeNYC in October. The season is rounded out with Burn It To the Ground, a performance series curated by DTPS; Poet's Studio, a quarterly celebration of poetry curated and hosted by Jackie Torres; and will close with a special engagement of CARNIVAL OF SOULS presented by Jack Feldstein as a part of Sitting Shotgun's Casual Vacancy residency program.

Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning autobiographical family drama, Long Day's Journey Into Night, is widely regarded as one of the most powerful American plays of the 20th century. The acclaimed Bristol Old Vic production-which premiered in 2016 as the centerpiece of its 250th anniversary season-is helmed by award-winning theater and film director Sir Richard Eyre, and features unforgettable performances by stage, screen, Tony- and Oscar-winning actor Jeremy Irons and renowned stage, screen, Oscar- and Olivier-nominated actress Lesley Manville.

The New York Musical Festival (NYMF) announced today 11 of the 12 productions slated for 2018 NYMF. Among the shows announced in the lineup are the Next Link Project selections, as well as the first of two invited productions. Now in its fifteenth year, the 2018 Festival will take place July 9th through August 5th at locations on West 42nd Street in New York City. Dan Markley serves as NYMF Executive Director and Rachel Sussman serves as Producing Artistic Director.

Just in time for the holiday season, the Actors' Equity Foundation has continued the Stephen J. Falat Holiday Basket Project, which provides holiday cheer and quality of life items to men, women, children, and families living with HIV and AIDS in the New York metropolitan area.

Exeter Northcott Theatre is today celebrating its 50th anniversary.

Hampstead Theatre presents the world premiere of Nicholas Wright's The Slaves of Solitude directed by Jonathan Kent.

On September 8 2017, Eagle Rock Entertainment will release the final three titles in The Frank Sinatra Collection on DVD and digital formats. On license from Frank Sinatra Enterprises (FSE), the definitive collection pulls together some of the finest performances on television, in the recording studio and in concert from the greatest entertainer of the 20th century.

Ten new shows have just been announced at the King Center for the Performing Arts, including Decades Rewind, Pink Martini, Take Me to the River, Martin Sexton, Abba Mania, Daniel O'Donnell, Yamato, Stayin Alive, Les Ballets Trockedero, and Howie Mandel. Scroll down for details!
