The Drilling Company, Hamilton Clancy Artistic Director, will present 'Hamlet,' directed by Karla Hendrick and starring Jane Bradley, for its 2018 Shakespeare in the Parking Lot production. Free performances, originally scheduled for July 12 to 28, will now be presented July 19 to 28 in the Parking Lot of The Clemente, 114 Norfolk Street (E. side of Norfolk St. between Delancey and Rivington). The first week's performances had to be foregone due to an unfortunate miscommunication. Fortunately, the executive leadership of The Clemente stepped in and resolved the impasse with The Drilling Company and Shakespeare in the Parking Lot was able to live on.

He refused to name names when called before the House Un-American Activities Committee, spoke out agains the Vietnam War, and was an activist in many social causes, allowing him to be seen as the moral conscience of the nation. However, Bernard Weinraub reveals Miller's feet of clay in the world premiere of his play FALL, directed by Peter DuBois at Huntington Theatre Company's Calderwood Pavilion.

Grab your sunscreen and head down south for the Chillin' on the Lucie music festival in Port St. Lucie, Fla., Oct. 3 - 7. Headlining will be country icon, Wynonna, with her band The Big Noise, and hit-maker Joe Nichols, with two more to be announced. RaeLynn, Thompson Square, Craig Campbell, Restless Heart, Love and Theft, Trent Tomlinson, Scooter Brown Band and Southern Halo are also scheduled to perform at the festival, with more acts to be announced. Palm Springs Opera Guild, one of the longest-standing cultural institutions in the Coachella Valley, will conduct its annual Opera in Schools outreach program at eighteen Palm Springs Unified School District schools across the Coachella Valley. This innovative program, which runs May 16 - June 1 and will celebrate its 14th year, demystifies opera as an art form and positively inspires students by demonstrating that opera is an accessible, entertaining medium. Since 2005 the Opera Guild has made a positive impact on local students. Last year, the two-week program impacted more than 15,000 students grades K-12. While primarily directed at children, the program also educates teachers, administrators, and student's families.

Freeform, Disney's young adult television and streaming network, will premiere brand new episodes of breakout comedies “grown-ish” and “Alone Together,” as well as fan-favorite series “The Fosters” and “Beyond.” Also in February, Freeform will celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the release of the beloved Disney animated classic “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” with an all-day marathon on Sunday, Feb. 4, beginning at 11:30 a.m. EST.

Mosaic Theater Company of DCtakes its acclaimedVoices From a Changing Middle East Festival on tour this winter, bringing several of its seminal Festival productions (I SHALL NOT HATE, VIA DOLOROSA, and the recent film adaptation of WRESTLING JERUSALEM) to the University of Oklahoma, Grinnell College, and Eastern Mennonite University for presentations of each project, and culminating in a special evening at the University of Chicago's Logan Center for the Arts where excerpts from all three works will be shared in a single evening. The tour reflects different dimensions of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the efforts to achieve reckoning and reconciliation through live performance and discussion, in works performed in English, Arabic, and Hebrew (with translated surtitles).
