Pittsburgh Shakespeare in the Parks celebrates 19th Season with Twelfth Night, a new comedy, and puppet slam during 10th Week of Will Cleopatra and Antony plays Pittsburgh parks in September PSiP's 19th season opens with the 10th Annual Week of Will in April featuring staged readings of two comedies, Twelfth Night and the premiere of Shakespeare: First Drafts by Charles David 'Stoney' Richards.

The Metropolitan Opera has named bass-baritone Ryan Speedo Green the winner of the 2023 Beverly Sills Artist Award, the second time that Green has received this honor. Previously, Green shared the award with four other artists in 2021, the season that had been canceled due to the pandemic.

Shakespeare Theatre Company has announced the upcoming 23/24 Season: Greater Wonders. The 23/24 Season opens with the long-awaited production of EVITA. 

The trailer for Rare Objects, starring, written, directed, and produced by Katie Holmes, has been released. The film also stars Tony winner Alan Cumming, Julie Mayorga, Derek Luke, and Saundra Santiago. Terence Blanchard’s opera Champion, based on the true story of the troubled former middleweight boxing champion Emile Griffith, will have its highly anticipated Metropolitan Opera premiere on April 10, with nine performances running through May 13.

The cast has been announced for the world premiere of BERLUSCONI at Southwark Playhouse. Rehearsals begin on 13 February with first preview on 25 March and press night on 29 March.

Pilot Theatre will be returning to Coventry this month with their award-winning 2019 production of Sabrina Mahfouz's exciting adaptation of Malorie Blackman's critically acclaimed young adult novel of first love in a dangerous fictional dystopia. Noughts & Crosses will play at The Belgrade from Tuesday 24 – Saturday 28 January, with a press performance on Tuesday 24 January.

Rubicon Theatre Company will present the Southern California premiere of THE REALISTIC JONESES, Wednesday, January 25 at 7:00 pm, with a press opening on Saturday, January 28 at 7:00 pm, running through Sunday, February 12.

American Indian Artists Inc. (AMERINDA) will present the New York Premiere of SOLEDAD by Carolyn Dunn. Directed by John Scott-Richardson, previews for this new play begin on January 12 at Theater for the New City with opening night slated for January 14.
