Court Theatre announces its 63rd season under the continuing leadership of Charles Newell, Marilyn F. Vitale Artistic Director and Executive Director Stephen J. Albert.

Annie Get Your Gun, the musical, is a fictionalized version of the life of  Annie Oakley. Annie's (Devon Perry) ability as a sharpshooter wins her a job in Buffalo Bill's (Gary Lynch) Wild West show. Her brilliant shooting offends the masculinity of the show's star marksman, handsome baritone Frank Butler (Gregg Goodbrod), and makes a romance between the pair impossible. A happy ending only arrives when wise old Sitting Bull (Marshall Factora) gently demonstrates to the naive Oakley that she can easily win the insecure Butler by intentionally losing a shooting competition. The rousing, sure-fire finale hit's the mark every time. With songs such as "There's No Business Like Show Business", "The Girl That I Marry" and "Anything You Can Do" this wonderful Irving Berlin score will score a hit for all of us!

Southern belle, Blanche DuBois, seeks solace with her sister, Stella, after her world starts to crumble. But her downward spiral brings her face-to-face with Stella's husband, the sexy but brutal Stanley Kowalski. As temperatures soar and passions rise, Blanche and Stanley battle for Stella's soul.

Designed as a very funny screed against Jim Crowe and political corruption, Rainbow continues to shine on its audiences after 70 years.

September 14 marks the launch of O17, the first edition of Opera Philadelphia's new annual season-opening festival. The KeyBank Rochester Fringe Festival (Thursday, September 14 - Saturday, September 23) announced its entire 10-day, 2017 lineup at its sixth annual BIG REVEAL press conference today - a very special day for the more than 200 fringe festivals that exist worldwide: the first-ever World Fringe Day.

The Old Vic today gives a sneak preview of what's to come in 2018 at The Old Vic during its bicentenary. The Divide, a new play by Alan Ayckbourn, will open at The Old Vic on 3 February 2018 with previews from 30 January 2018, following its premiere at the Edinburgh International Festival this summer.
