The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), a professional membership organization of songwriters, composers and music publishers, announces the top ASCAP holiday songs of 2018. According to an ASCAP analysis of streaming and terrestrial radio data, the hit classic “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” written by ASCAP songwriter Walter Afanasieff and pop star Mariah Carey, holds the #1 song position for the second year in a row.

Katy Lipson for Aria Entertainment and Hope Mill Theatre have announced the full cast for the London transfer of their production of Aspects of Love at Southwark Playhouse.

Director Linda Fortunato has cast Neil Friedman as Kris Kringle, Stella Rose Hoyt as Susan, Courtney Jones as Doris and Christopher Kale Jones as Fred for Theatre at the Center's Miracle On 34th Street: The Musical. Previews began November 15 with Opening Night on November 18 and a continued run through December 23. This production is sponsored in part by American Community Bank.

NBC Announces Slate of Holiday Specials

NBC, the undisputed television leader for holiday programming, once again has scheduled a robust slate of specials ranging from beloved perennials (including “Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade,” “It's a Wonderful Life,” “National Dog Show”) to telecast premieres (including “Timeless” finale, holiday edition of “America's Got Talent,” “Darci Lynne: My Hometown Christmas Special”) and everything in between.

AMC Announces Holiday Programming Slate, AMC BEST CHRISTMAS EVER

AMC has viewers covered this holiday season with “AMC Best Christmas Ever,” its largest slate of holiday programming ever featuring 35 films and 18 specials, airing all day, every day. Beginning Monday, November 26 through Christmas Day, the monthlong programming marathon will offer up more than 600 hours of holiday-themed movies, specials and family favorite films, as well as the television debut of Mariah Carey's All I Want for Christmas is You (2017). AMC will be the exclusive home to Christmas favorites including Elf, The Polar Express and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation as well as 12 classic Christmas specials from the legendary Rankin/Bass production company, including The Year Without a Santa Claus, 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, Jack Frost, Rudolph's Shiny New Year and Frosty's Winter Wonderland, among many others.

The Adelphi Orchestra, Violinist Randall Goosby To Perform Korngold's Triumphant Concert Opus

The Adelphi Orchestra will feature Randall Mitsuo Goosby, Violin (First Prize winner of the Adelphi Orchestra Competition, First Prize winner of the Sphinx Competition ) in the rarely performed and defiantly triumphant Korngold Concerto for Violin in D major, Op. 35. Randall Goosby's performance of the Korngold Violin Concerto will be the centerpiece in a program entitled "From Vienna with Love" which will also feature Strauss's Overture to Die Fledermaus and concludes with the beautiful Symphony no 2 in D major by Brahms. The concert,  conducted by Richard Owen on Sunday October 27th at 7PM will take place at  NYC's historic Good Shepherd - Faith Presbyterian Church located in the heart of Lincoln Center. The production has a book by The Bengsons and Sarah Gancher, music and lyrics by The Bengsons, is directed by Anne Kauffman, with movement direction by Sonya Tayeh. Nominated for a 2018 Lucille Lortel Award, Hundred Days runs in the Playhouse's Mandell Weiss Forum through October 21.

Shire Musical Theatre Presents MIRACLE ON 34th STREET

Jeanna de Waal Will Star In DIANA: A New Musical At La Jolla Playhouse

La Jolla Playhouse has announced that Jeanna de Waal will portray the title role in its upcoming world-premiere musical Diana, by the Tony Award-winning Memphis team of Joe DiPietro (book and lyrics) and David Bryan (music and lyrics), directed by Playhouse Artistic Director and 2017 Tony Award winner Christopher Ashley and choreographed by Tony nomineeKelly Devine. The production will run February 19 - March 31, 2019 in the Playhouse's Mandell Weiss Theatre. The complete cast and creative team will be announced at a later date.

My grandfather's rice bowl, the only surviving heirloom from Sargodha - the ancestral home and lands from which my father's family lived for centuries - became the catalyst for this project. Seven metals were used to make this bowl: iron, copper, zinc, brass, mercury, gold and silver. Over 100 years old, it is a symbolic reminder of the past.
