Today The Kitchen has revealed its Fall 2023 programming, amplifying the experimental and future-building possibilities of archival activations within varied modes of performance, film, and visual art.

The Kitchen, in collaboration with the American Academy of Art and Letters, will present Dance and Process, the series that brings dance artists into a group process interrogating methods of choreographic and dance practice, with artists challenging default structures in their own work and the field at large.

Celebrity Attractions has announced its 2023-2024 Broadway Season and it is one that is fit for a Queen!  We open in August with COME FROM AWAY, a Broadway musical about the true story of the small town that welcomed the world in a time of tragedy.  The smash Broadway hit, SIX, commands the stage in October with Henry VIII's wives remixing the history into a pop concert that will make you lose your head!  

The Ozark Mountain Daredevils mark their 51st year by bringing their past, present and future together into “Jackie Blue 2,” a newly-recorded version of their iconic song. Available now on all major streaming platforms, “Jackie Blue 2” updates the 1975 hit with the vocals of Molly Healey, who has been performing the fiddle, cello and backing vocals with the Daredevils since 2012.

Themes and Dreams, a retrospective of collage and assemblage illustration by New York-based artist Joan Hall, is on view at Westbeth Gallery until March 24, 2023. San Francisco Playhouse announced casting for Follies by James Goldman and Stephen Sondheim. The musical will run on the San Francisco Playhouse Mainstage from June 30 through September 10, 2022. Bill English will direct, with music direction by Dave Dobrusky and choreography by Nicole Helfer. This marks the first fully staged professional production of Follies in San Francisco.

The Shaw Festival is mourning the death of Christopher Newton, former artistic director, who died peacefully yesterday morning at the age of 85. Actor, stage manager, playwright, artistic director, Mr. Newton made a momentous impact and life-long contributions to the Canadian theatre landscape and performing arts.
