Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts has announced its fall schedule of classes and workshops are now open for registration. Classes will be held online via Zoom or in-person in outdoor and social-distanced settings, and vary from on-camera acting workshops, to musical theater reading clubs, to performances of Shakespeare. Aristocratic buffoon Bertie Wooster has hired the theatre for the night to present his one-man show detailing a recent and rather spectacular series of misadventures, including the theft of a novelty cow creamer and a narrow escape from unwanted matrimony. The only trouble is Bertie hasn't worked out who's going to play the parts. Will the show be a disaster? Will the scenery stay upright? Or will his trusty manservant Jeeves step in and save the day?

A new adaptation of Jane Eyre, Charlotte Brontë's beloved tale of courage, sacrifice and self-respect, will debut next month at Hartford Stage.  The novel has been adapted for the stage by Hartford Stage Associate Artistic Director Elizabeth Williamson, who will also direct.  Jane Eyre runs Thursday, February 13, through Saturday, March 14.

Former Artistic Director Michael Wilson will return to Hartford Stage in March to direct the original play which inspired the Academy Award-winning film The King's Speech. Written by Academy Award-winning screenwriter David Seidler, the play tells the true story of King George VI, his speech therapist Lionel Logue, and a friendship that helped steer the course of history. The King's Speech will run Thursday, March 19, through Sunday, April 19.
