They paid tribute to Irving Berlin by performing some of his iconic songs including 'God Bless America,' 'Give Me Your Tired, Your Poor,''Shaking the Blues Away,' and 'Blue Skies' to celebrate the opening of this new museum.

This Spring Pontine Theatre will present their original staging of stories written by Hampton Falls' Alice Brown,  Tales of New England Life will be presented at assisted living communities, senior centers, libraries and historical societies throughout the region.  The tour is made possible with support from the Fuller Foundation and the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts.   The FullerFoundation, is a nonprofit organization  that  supports projects that improve the quality of life for people, animals and the environment.

The Jewish Museum will present Israeli-American pianist Daniel Gortler and Brazilian violinist Daniel Guedes performing the music of Ludwig van Beethoven, Edward Grieg, and contemporary Brazilian composer Mozart Camargo Guarnieri on Thursday, May 16 at 8 pm. This is Mr. Gortler's fifth appearance at the Jewish Museum, and Mr. Guedes's first.

Camerata Pacifica continues its "Why Beethoven?" project with four pieces by Vienna's most beloved residents, traversing the Austrian capital's  musical landscape from 1785 - 1886. The program opens with Beethoven's String Trio in G Major, Op. 9, No. 1, followed by Mozart's Piano Quartet in G Minor, K. 478 and Schubert's String Trio in B-flat Major, D. 471, ending with Brahms' Sonata in A Major for Violin & Piano, Op. 100.

April 4 - 14, Pontine Theatre continues its premiere season at the Plains School, with performances of Tales of New England Life, its original stage adaptation of four stories by New Hampshire author, Alice Brown (1857-1948). Pontine's newly renovated Plains School, located at One Plains Avenue in Portsamouth's West End, is fully accessible with convenient free parking adjacent. Performances are Thursdays at 3pm, Fridays at 7pm, Saturdays at 3pm and Sundays at 2pm. Tickets are $27 and may be purchased online at www.pontine.org.

Vilna, a new play by Ira Fuchs directed by Joseph Discher, will begin its limited Off-Broadway World Premiere engagement at the Theatre at St. Clement's (423 West 46th Street, between Ninth & Tenth Avenues) tonight Monday March 11th.  Opening Night is set for Wednesday March 20th (7pm). This limited Off-Broadway engagement will continue through Sunday April 14th only.

THE BELLE OF AMHERST takes place through the current and past experiences of EMILY DICKINSON'S life from 1830-1886 and is set in her home in Amherst Massachusetts. The reclusive nineteenth-century poet EMILY DICKINSON recollects her past through her work, her diaries and letters, and a few encounters with significant people in her life. WILLIAM LUCE'S classic play shows both the pain and joy of Dickinson's secluded life.
