Freeform announces its programming schedule for July 2018, which includes all-new episodes of critically acclaimed series “The Bold Type” and breakout summer hit “Marvel's Cloak & Dagger” and epic celebrations continue with more episodes of “Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings.” Additionally, fan-favorite comedy “Young & Hungry” concludes after five hilarious seasons, on Wednesday, July 25.

After a successful run in Central Park, playing to over 4,000 people, performances resume on Wednesday, June 27 in Rockefeller Park/Battery Park City for New York Classical Theatre's critically acclaimed production of Romeo and Juliet, directed by the company's Founding Artistic Director Stephen Burdman. The production will play this week through June 30, before continuing on to The Battery, Carl Schurz Park, and Brooklyn Bridge Park for performances through July 29. As a new economic era arrives, traditional corporations go through drastic transformations to reinvent themselves. Do those who have been with the company for a long time stand firm to defend the old existing system, or do they accept the new changes? Exploring the subject of office politics, particularly the ideological clash between the new and old generations within companies, Die Firma dankt is written by German playwright Lutz Hubner together with Sarah Nemitz. This satirical work is filled with brilliantly dark humour, and it has garnered enthusiastic acclaims when performed in Hong Kong, Mainland China and Taiwan. The current version is translated by Tang Wei, with Cantonese adaption by Weigo Lee who also directs this production. The main cast includes Chris Sun, Wang Wei, Karrie Tan, Lo Ka Nang and Fanny Shum, and the performances will be staged at the Hong Kong City Hall Theatre from 6 to 22 July. The Warner Theatre has announced the 2018-19 Met Opera: Live in HD Season, featuring 10 Saturday matinee simulcasts in the Nancy Marine Studio Theatre. This year's Season is sponsored by Viron Rondo Osteria and will include 4 new productions and starry revivals featuring the world's leading artists. Yannick Nezet-Seguin has been announced as the Met's Music Director for the start of the season, conducting La Traviata and Dialogues des Carmelites. Due to a scheduling conflict, La Traviata will be shown as an encore presentation. A complimentary 45 minute pre-opera lecture will be offered in the Studio Theatre Lobby two hours before each broadcast, sponsored by Mitchell Auto Group.

Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Sammy Strittmatter is set to release his ambitious fourth full-length album, Get Out of the City, on Palo Santo Records on May 18, 2018. Strittmatter, who has recorded and produced all of his records, got help on this outing from producer/label co-founder Salim Nourallah (Old 97's, Nicholas Altobelli, The Damnwells, Rhett Miller).

The Traverse Theatre is excited to announce the final additions to the Traverse Festival 2018 programme - including, in what is Scotland's Year of Young People 2018, Festival favourite Breakfast Plays: Youthquake, pairing three young Scottish playwrights from our Traverse Young Writers' group with three leading British writers. New York Classical Theatre (Stephen Burdman, Artistic Director), New York City's only all-free professional Off-Broadway theatre company, is pleased to announce a new production of William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet to celebrate its 19th Anniversary Season. The production, directed by Mr. Burdman, is the company's first staging of Shakespeare's tale of star-crossed lovers, and will be presented in five New York City parks - Central Park, Rockefeller Park/Battery Park City, The Battery, Carl Schurz Park and Brooklyn Bridge Park - with performances from June 5 through July 29 at 7:00 PM. There is no ticketing, and all performances are free and open to the public. New York Classical Theatre also invites audiences to experience unique behind-the-scenes access to open rehearsals on selected dates for each of the five park stagings. 

'A Blanket of Dust' is the story of a modern day Antigone.  The daughter of a U.S. Senator seeks justice for her husband, who has died in the World Trade Center. Her ordeal drives her to the outer fringes of society.  After struggling to establish facts that the government, the media, her family and her countrymen deny, she protests with a harrowing act of sacrificial tragedy.  The play's world premiere will be presented Off-Broadway by Delphi Film from June 6 to 30 at The Flea Theater Mainstage,  20 Thomas Street, directed by Chris Murrah.

Four-time Tony nominee Tovah Feldshuh will recreate her award-winning performance as Golda Meir in Golda's Balcony, when the acclaimed William Gibson play comes to the Segal Centre for Performing Arts from May 22 to June 10, 2018. There will be an ASL-interpreted performance on June 9.

Corrib Theatre presents Owen McCafferty's Quietly, directed by Artistic Director Gemma Whelan, a play that grapples with the carnage, consequences and hope for healing following Ireland's decades-long, bloody conflict referred to as the Troubles. The production features Ted Rooney, Tim Blough and Murri Lazaroff-Babin and runs for four weeks, April 13 through May 6, at New Expressive Works.

Beginning April 14, Mile Square Theatre presents public performances of its revival production of Y York's The Garden of Rikki Tikki Tavi. Restaging its 2011 production for a new audience, MST is thrilled to reunite much of the creative team from the earlier production, including MST Artistic Director Chris O'Connor and actor Blaire Brooks (Bull, Blacklist) as Darzee the Tailor Bird. The cast includes MST regular Andrew Baldwin (Frog and Toad), Cameron Blankenship (Lyric Rep), and Arielle Legere (Princess K.I.M.).

Milo de Venus is a world premiere play by Brian Pope, featuring local actors Joanna Getting, Hazel Leroy, Jalina McClarin, Max Reusing, and Mike Zolovich, and directed by Shannon Knapp. It is the inaugural production of a new theatrical collective Non-State Actors. In the play, a young artist (McClarin) spends money she doesn't have to pay for an art class from a famous local visual artist (Getting) only to find out that the man (Reusing) she has been messaging on Tinder is the class's model.

Mile Square Theatre, Hudson County's leading professional theatre, presents Y York's young audience adaptation of The Garden of Rikki Tikki Tavi. Public performances are April 14-May 6, Saturdays @ 3pm and 7pm and Sundays at 11am and 3pm.

According to AMERICAN THEATRE magazine, Dominique Morisseau's SKELETON CREW is the third most-widely produced play of the 2017-2018 season at regional theaters nationwide. Huntington Theatre Company stages the timely final chapter of the playwright's Detroit trilogy, a powerful drama about the hardships suffered in the Motor City after the 2008 economic recession. Directed with care and great attention to detail by Megan Sandberg-Zakian, the family of workers at an auto plant try to stand their ground against the inevitable while maintaining their dignity and their connections to one another. Outstanding performances by Patricia R. Floyd, Jonathan Louis Dent, Toccarra Cash, and Maurice Emmanuel Parent.

The Keir Choreographic Award is Australia's first major choreographic award presented by the Keir Foundation, Carriageworks and Dancehouse with the Australia Council. The Keir Choreographic Award is a national biennial award dedicated to commissioning short works and promoting innovative, experimental and cross-artform practices in contemporary dance. The award invites Australian professional artists with an established practice to propose a choreographic idea for an original live performance of no more than 20 minutes.

 Laura Benanti is a Tony Award winner for "Gypsy" and star on Broadway in "She Loves Me!", as well as on TV's "Nashville" and frequent guest on "Late Night with Stephen Colbert" as Melania Trump. On Saturday, March 17 she will join the popular concert series Broadway @ the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, with Sirius XM radio star Seth Rudetsky as pianist and host and presented by Mark Cortale.
