Emmy Award-winning actress and writer Renée Taylor a?" known to millions as Fran Fine's food obsessed mother, Sylvia, on a?oeThe Nannya?? a?" will bring her comedy smash MY LIFE ON A DIET to George Street Playhouse beginning next Tuesday, November 19th. 'Journey On' with Stagecrafters' current production of Ragtime, playing at Royal Oak's Baldwin Theatre until October 6th. Since premiering in Toronto in 1996 and opening on Broadway in 1998, Ragtime has received several worldwide productions, becoming an absolute phenomenon.

A recognisable face on the screen and stage, Tracy-Ann Oberman has well and truly cemented her extraordinary versatility during a prolific career. Providing us with easily one of EastEnders most iconic character's as the murderous Chrissie Watts, Oberman seems to almost effortlessly switch from drama to comedy with Aunty Val in Friday Night Dinner being another of her much loved creations.  Starting her career with the RSC, Oberman has performed in a vast array of plays from Shakespeare to Pinter via Noel Coward. BroadwayWorld has learned that real-life married couple Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker will come to Broadway in Neil Simon's Plaza Suite following an out of town run at Boston's Colonial Theatre - where the 1968 production also originated, before a 17 week run on Broadway at the Hudson Theatre with previews set to being in March. The production will be directed by John Benjamin Hickey.

By the time you read this, you may have missed your chance to see Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST at the Ralston Community Theatre. You may have thought that it's a 'tale as old as time,' that you've seen several times, both on film and on stage. But this one may be different. This one felt more like home than a quiet village. The performers were familiar, the theater was in a local high school, and the audience...your friends and neighbors...were loving every minute. I especially enjoyed watching the face of a little girl dressed in her Belle costume completely entranced. Sometimes seeing something through the eyes of a child makes it new again.
