Rose Theatre Kingston today announces the full cast for Hansel & Gretel, a new festive version with original music. Director of Learning and Participation, Ciaran McConville, returns with a new version of the Brothers' Grimm classic following last year's successful adaptation of Alice in Winterland. Rosie Jones directs a cast of local young actors from the Rose Youth Theatre led by a team of professional actors including Devon Black (Mother/Bear/Townsperson), Vanessa Fisher (Red/Townsperson), Elliot Fitzpatrick (Otto/Kabeljau), J.J. Henry (Gerhardt/Blue) and Georgina White (Circe). The production opens on Friday 14 December, with previews from Thursday 6 December, and runs until Sunday 6 January 2019.

Theater audiences in Middle Tennessee are treated to a delicious murder mystery from the doyenne of British whodunits as Arts Center of Cannon County unveils its latest production - Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None - in a sumptuous new mounting from director Cyndie Verbeten. Opening tonight and continuing through October 13, the story focuses on a group of people brought together on a remote island where there is danger and intrigue afoot.

Main Street Theater Announces Changes In Season Line-up

Main Street Theater is announcing a change in the line-up of its 43rd MainStage season, beginning September 2018.  The previously announced Trojan War Project, a three-play collaboration with Prague Shakespeare company, will be postponed to a later season.  Conor McPherson's The Weir will now open March 16, 2019, and the season will close with a title TBA, pending availability of rights.  "After much reflection, we are postponing the Trojan War Project until sometime in the future," shared Rebecca Greene Udden, Executive Artistic Director and Founder of Main Street Theater.  "The production represented an enormous financial undertaking, and as we, like so many other arts organizations struggling to recover from this Harvey-cursed year, have to focus on financial sustainability."  Additionally, The Book of Will is now set to open a bit later, September 22, 2018.  MST will still bring in Canada's La Fille du Laitier and their production of Macbeth Muet.

The Ladies Foursome was based upon an earlier play by Foster entitled The Foursome, in which four men who are old buddies from college, play 18 holes of golf. Foster shifted the story to feature four women instead of four men, and changed the plot in specific ways to fit his new cast of characters. Ladies Foursome premiered at the Morrisburg Theatre in Montreal, Canada in July of 2014. The show received glowing reviews with many critics claiming that this new Foursome was better than the first. Soon after, the play received an American premiere at the B Street Theatre, and since then has been produced at the Bay Theatre in Baltimore, Theatre Baddeck in Cape Brenton Island, and the Toowoomba Theatre in Canada.

New Stop Motion Animated Film With Jordan Peele & Keegan Michael Key Finds Home On Netflix
