“Coming out of the shadows running,” The Magic Numbers are making their return withOutsiders, their first new album in four years. The Mercury Prize-nominated quartet summons the powers of Neil Young, Howlin' Wolf, and Fleetwood Mac for an outlaw, open-road Americana feel, while retaining “elements of their trademark sweetness,” according to CLASH. “Sweet Divide,” the existentialist, Youngesque first single, is now available to stream, and Outsiders will be released May 11.

Cleveland Play House (CPH) is proud to announce the cast of the high-spirited, interactive musical comedy The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Broadway and TV actress Ali Stroker (Glee, Deaf West's Production of Spring Awakening) joins Broadway veterans Kirsten Wyatt (Annie, Elf, Shrek), John Scherer (Sunset Boulevard, By Jeeves, Funny Girl), Lee Slobotkin, Chad Burris (both of Book of Mormon), Kay Trinidad Karns (Little Mermaid), and more in this laugh-out-loud musical directed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge on the Allen Stage through May 6th. This production is sponsored by Huntington National Bank and Zinner & Co.

Epic reunions and not-to-be-missed intimate conversations will take center stage during the 17th annual Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, running April 18-29. Tribeca will celebrate the anniversaries of Schindler's List, Scarface, and In the Soup, bringing three classics back to the big screen.

The Grammy-nominated Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, which captures the infectious fun of big band music, will perform at the Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts (The Soraya) on Thursday, April 5 at 8:00pm.  Jazz Times called the Los Angeles-based band, with a 32-year history, "one of current jazz's most vital large ensemble." Co-founder bassist John Clayton is a CSUN alumnus who has gone on to play with superstars such as Michael Jackson, Patti LaBelle and Madonna.

Exploration through world culture, original voices, and iconic masters are on display throughout the 2018-2019 ballet and contemporary dance season at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. The upcoming ballet and dance season-among the nation's most robust and eclectic-features a breadth of dynamic and world-class choreography performed by today's preeminent companies. Brought to life onstage by virtuosic dancers and visionary designers, the season encompasses compelling and thought-provoking works, collaborations across genres, and quintessential classics steeped in tradition.

REPRISE 2.0 is now announced, presenting a season of three classic American musicals at UCLA's Freud Playhouse, by Marcia Seligson, Producing Artistic Director of the new performing arts organization.  REPRISE 2.0 is partnering with the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television's Department of Theater (UCLA TFT), chaired by Brian Kite. 

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) will present the Abbey Theatre and the Royal Court Theatre's acclaimed 2016 production of CYPRUS AVENUE, a new play written by David Ireland and directed by Royal Court Artistic Director Vicky Featherstone, featuring Stephen Rea, who last performed at The Public in 2008 in Sam Shepard's Kicking a Dead Horse. Following encore engagements at Dublin's Peacock Stage at the Abbey Theatre (April 30-May 19) and the MAC in Belfast (May 23-26), CYPRUS AVENUE will begin previews for a limited eight-week run on Saturday, June 2 and run through Sunday, July 29 in The Public's LuEsther Hall, with an official press opening on Monday, June 25.

The Coney Island Ritual Cabaret Festival marks International Culture Lab's (ICL) third consecutive year probing the fantastical dancing partnership of ritual and entertainment on Coney Island USA's (CIUSA) burlesque stage. The Centerpiece Gala will be the World Premiere of Drake Doremus' sci-fi romance Zoe starring Ewan McGregor, Lea Seydoux, Rashida Jones, and Theo James. American Composers Orchestra (ACO) continues its 2017-2018 season, under the leadership of Artistic Director Derek Bermel, Music Director George Manahan, and President Edward Yim, with Dreamscapes, on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 7:30pm at Carnegie Hall's Zankel Hall (57th St. and 7th Ave.).

From the very first note, Brooklyn-based composer Christopher Cerrone draws listeners into his vibrant sonic imagination—a sublime world of ethereal colors and deep emotional resonance. Riding high following the extraordinary success of his groundbreaking futuristic opera, Invisible Cities, Cerrone teams up with Grammy-award winning Third Coast Percussion ensemble and mezzo-soprano Rachel Calloway to perform recent chamber works, including the world premiere of a work commissioned for this Portrait.

Charlie Brooks and Patrick Ryecart will play Sally and Mike respectively in the UK tour and London run of Torben Betts's new play MONOGAMY, joining the previously announced Janie Dee as Caroline Mortimer. They are joined by Jack Archer as Leo, Genevieve Gaunt as Amanda and Jack Sandle as Graeme.

Talk-backs will be held at Theater for the New City, 155 First Ave., after each Sunday matinee performance of 'Subway Story (A Shooting),' written and directed by William Electric Black. The talk-backs were developed to help elucidate for the play's audiences the pressures that drive the epidemic of gun violence in young people.

On the heels of a critically-acclaimed off-Broadway run, Goodman Theatre Artistic Associate and Alice Center Resident Artist Dael Orlandersmith brings her one-woman show, Until the Flood to Goodman Theatre, April 27 - May 13.

Theatre for a New Audience (TFANA; Jeffrey Horowitz, Founding Artistic Director) has added a performance (February 8 at 9pm) to its critically lauded world premiere production of Adrienne Kennedy's He Brought Her Heart Back in a Box, directed by Evan Yionoulis. The run will conclude, as a scheduled, on February 11.

Tony Award-nominated singer, actress and writer Melissa Errico, has starred on Broadway in 'Anna Karenina,' 'My Fair Lady,' 'High Society' and many other stellar productions. On March 1, 2018 she will make her New Orleans debut with the special Broadway @ NOCCA concert 'Sondheim & More' at Lupin Hall, as a benefit for the The NOCCA Institute.

Curio Theatre Company brings audiences into a modern look at one of history's most controversial figues. David Adjmi's Marie Antoinette kicks off 2018 for the West Philadelphia theatre.
