The Good Liar is a 2019 American crime thriller film directed and produced by Bill Condon and written by Jeffrey Hatcher, based on the novel of the same name by Nicholas Searle. It stars Ian McKellen as a career con-artist who meets a wealthy widow (Helen Mirren) online, and begins to plan how to steal her fortune.

B.R.O.K.E.N code B.I.R.D switching is a thought-provoking new work by playwright Tara L. Wilson Noth. It will have a limited workshop engagement through November 23, at the Stephanie Feury Theatre, 5636 Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles. In the play by the new playwright, a lawyer is tasked with representing a black teenager accused of murder. In her search for the truth, she is forced to face her own devastating truths about marriage, race and the woman she's chosen to be.

A signalman is haunted by a mysterious figure standing at the mouth of a train tunnel. He's sure it's a warning - but what is it warning against? The Signalman was Charles Dickens' final completed work, written after the writer himself had survived a train crash. This adaptation by Martin Malcolm ('Warped' - VAULT Festival 2019) remains faithful to the original text but also incorporates other aspects of Dickens' writing, including the introduction of Joe the crossing sweeper, who listens as the signalman's tale unfolds.

Co-curated by Lebanese live artist Tania El Khoury, a 2019 Soros Art Fellow, and Gideon Lester, the Fisher Center's Artistic Director for Theater and Dance, this four-day festival considers the subject of borders: political borders, physical borders, historical and contemporary borders, borders seen and unseen, the borders of the body, borders between art forms, between performers and spectators, the borders that divide or define us, borders to be crossed, tested, resisted, destroyed, rebuilt, or transcended. Where No Wall Remains follows The House is Open (2014), which explored the relationship between visual and performing arts, and We're Watching (2017), which examined contemporary states of surveillance. This third edition of the festival features nine new performances and installations by contemporary artists from the Middle East and Central America, commissioned by Live Arts Bard. Eclipse Theatre has announced two new appointments in senior management. In December 2019 Amanda Huxtable will become the new Artistic Director and CEO, and Shawab Iqbal will join the company as Executive Producer. Currently in Sheffield and moving to Leeds, Eclipse is the foremost Black-led national touring company in the UK, developing new artists and delivering diverse programming in theatre, film and radio across the country.

Due to an overwhelming response, the Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust today announced that Auschwitz. Not long ago. Not far away., the most comprehensive Holocaust exhibition about Auschwitz ever presented in North America, will be extended until August 30, 2020. Produced by the international exhibition firm Musealia and the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum in Poland, the groundbreaking exhibition is the largest ever on Auschwitz with more than 700 original objects and 400 photographs.
