On 6 September, London's much-loved bent London triflemakers Duckie will revive Leytonstone's formidable homegal for Duckie Loves Fanny; a one night only grand show for 1,000 audience members.

The Maggie Allesee Department of Theatre and Dance, a program within the College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts at Wayne State University, is thrilled to kick off our year-long 90 Years of Dance at Wayne celebration with the annual December Dance Concert, December 7 and 8 at Detroit's Music Hall Center for the Performing Arts.  This year's show promises diverse and moving works showcasing highlights of dance through the decades. A rare collection of complete live recordings of classic American musical theater is now available at two major venues: Goodspeed Musicals' Scherer Library of Musical Theatre in East Haddam, Connecticut, and Cleveland Public Library in Cleveland, Ohio.

August Strindberg Repertory Theatre, under the leadership of Robert Greer, is committed to production of his plays in new translations and interpretations that illuminate the plays of Sweden's national playwright, whose work remains as relevant today as when they were written.  The company continues its explorations November 12 to December 3 at Gene Frankel Theatre, 24 Bond Street, presenting a double-bill of two-character plays -- 'Pariah' and 'The Stronger' -- in alternating rep with with Strindberg's Arabian Nights play, 'Abu Casem's Slippers.'

Pro Football Hall of Famer, TV commentator and husband to Kathie Lee Gifford Frank Gifford has died at 84 according to a statement from NBC News and his family. 

Writers Theatre presents The Diary of Anne Frank by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett, adapted by Wendy Kesselman and directed by Kimberly Senior. The show runs February 24 - June 28, 2015 at Books on Vernon, 664 Vernon Avenue, Glencoe. The Press Openings are Wednesday, March 4, and Thursday, March 5, 2015.

Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will open the 2013 edition of the TCM Classic Film Festival with the world premiere of a brand new restoration of the musical classic Funny Girl (1968). TCM's own Robert Osborne, who serves as official host for the festival, will introduce Funny Girl to kick off the four-day, star-studded event taking place Thursday, April 25 - Sunday, April 28, 2013, in Hollywood. In addition to Funny Girl, the TCM Classic Film Festival will feature world premiere restorations of The General (1926), Giant (1956) and The Great Escape (1962), with many additional titles to be announced later.

Laura Osnes stars as Suzy in the New York City Center Encores! production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Pipe Dream running through April 1. Pipe Dream is directed by Marc Bruni with music direction by Rob Berman and choreography by Kelli Barclay, and plays for seven performances at New York City Center, West 55th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues. The Encores! presentation marks the first time the musical will be seen on the New York stage since the original production closed in June 1956.
