Jazz programming has been announced at Birdland Jazz Club and Birdland Theater from April 4 - April 17.

The Birdland Jazz Club and Theater has released their programming from March 28th through April 10th. Artists appearing at Birdland Jazz Club include Emmet’s Place: Emmet Cohen Trio Featuring Special Guests, Ed Neumeister’s Assembláge Jazz Orchestra, Ravi Coltrane Quartet, and John Minnock with Dave Liebman. 

The Lucille Lortel Awards, the preeminent honor presented exclusively to recognize Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway, have confirmed their return to a LIVE in-person celebration on Sunday, May 1, 2022, at 7:00PM at NYU Skirball. All New York University.

The 2021/22 reIGNITE Live Arts Season continues with Lucy Kirkwood's provocative and chilling eco-thriller THE CHILDREN. After postponing production during the truncated 2019/20 Season, Live Arts is tremendously excited to share THE CHILDREN with Charlottesville audiences in a Central Virginia premiere.

The album will be supported by a US tour with more dates already added in many major cities due to demand. The now Brooklyn-based artist is also releasing a new song “sad disco” which is out today. “sad disco,” is an electrifying dance party for one inspired by the stacks of ABBA records that comforted her during her year of lost time.

Dorset Theatre Festival has announced its return to indoor performances at the Dorset Playhouse beginning June, 23 2022, and the 45th Main Stage Summer Season featuring Jeffrey Hatcher's adaptation of Wait Until Dark (June 23 - July 9); the World Premiere of Scarecrow written and performed by Heidi Armbruster (July 14 - 23); Back Together Again, a new concert featuring the music of Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway (July 27 - August 7); and the World Premiere of Thirst by Ronán Noone (August 18 - September 3).

CAGE SHUFFLE MARATHON – a full-length evening of dance and spoken word set to John Cage’s 90, one-minute stories from his 1963 score INDETERMINANCY – will be given its world premiere February 15-19 when Paul Lazar and several guest artists  take the stage at La MaMa’s Downstairs theater.

CHELSEA TABLE + STAGE has announced a special show from acclaimed Flamenco artist Nélida Tirado on Saturday, January 29 at 7:00 PM. Tirado will present a passionate and dynamic evening of traditional Flamenco music and dance through a contemporary lens, melding improvisation, emotion, “duende,” singing, and guitar playing.

Hampstead Theatre has announced the full cast and creative team for the world premiere of Florian Zeller's new play, The Forest. Running from 5 February until 12 March 2022, The Forest is translated by Zeller's long-time collaborator Christopher Hampton, and directed by Jonathan Kent, who re-unites with Zeller after his critically acclaimed production of The Height of the Storm.

SAD is the premiere of critically acclaimed writer Victoria Willing’s (The Stage Debut Awards, nominated Best New Writer 2017) new play, directed by Omnibus Theatre’s Artistic Director Marie McCarthy, in collaboration for the first time since their five-star award-nominated hit Spring Offensive (2017).

Soho Theatre has announced their upcoming November programming featuring MUM, SESSIONS, MAKROOH and more. 

BIRDLAND THEATER will present award-winning vocalist Gabrielle Stravelli and Grammy Award-nominated saxophonist Tim Armacost for four shows on Sunday, November 21 and Sunday, November 28 at 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM.

The Forest by Florian Zeller, translated by Christopher Hampton, with direction by Jonathan Kent, will run from 4 February until 12 March. The Fever Syndrome by Alexis Zegerman, directed by Hampstead Theatre's Artistic Director, Roxana Silbert, will run from 18 March until 23 April. The Fellowship by Roy Williams, directed by Paulette Randall, will run from 17 June until 23 July.
