Beginning May 1, United Airlines will offer customers several new dining, snacking and beverage options in its Choice Menu including egg and chicken chorizo tacos for breakfast and a barbecue chicken sandwich for lunch and dinner. On United's premium transcontinental flights between Los Angeles and New York/Newark and between San Francisco and Boston and San Francisco and New York/Newark, customers will also enjoy new dessert and beverage selections. United will also become the first airline to offer Stella Artois aboard domestic and international flights this summer.

Legendary singer and 2016 Kennedy Center Honoree Mavis Staples will headline a special evening for the 2018 Kennedy Center Spring Gala on Sunday, May 6, 2018, in the Concert Hall. An Evening with Mavis Staples and Special Guests pairs Staples with some of her most notable collaborators: singer-songwriter Neko Case, multi-instrumentalist Bruce Hornsby, and bluegrass-county artist Alison Krauss. Together, they will lead guests through Staples's 60-plus year catalog of genre-defying contributions to American music, including many seminal works that have woven her into the very fabric of gospel, soul, folk pop, R&B, Hip Hop, blues, and rock. The event is chaired by Frances and Craig Lindner.

The cautions about eating raw cookie dough are everywhere, even if the cookie dough is egg-free. Massive recalls have been issued because of contaminated flour that has caused illness. While food manufacturers have switched to using heat-treated flour to kill harmful bacteria in food that may be consumed raw, options for the American household have been non-existent. Americans have spoken, and it's no surprise they have strong opinions when it comes to comfort food preferences. According to a national survey conducted by Sara Lee, makers of delicious bread, buns, rolls and breakfast products including Artesano Bread pizza reigns supreme as the No. 1 comfort food in the country, with more than half of Americans identifying it as their go-to comfort food while burgers hold the number two spot. The survey also revealed that grilled cheese ranks as one of the top 10 dishes and Americans are evenly split in how they define comfort food: 50 percent are on team sweet with most craving chocolate and the other half think comfort food should be a savory dish.
