Algonquin Arts Theatre has announced the cast and creative team for its holiday show, A Christmas Story: The Musical.

Full casting and the 2022-23 tour route have been announced for the North American Tour of Beetlejuice the Musical. After its first public performance in Paducah, KY, the tour will officially launch in December at the Golden Gate Theatre in San Francisco, CA before haunting 27 cities across North America with more dates to be announced shortly. The much anticipated national tour began in 2019 and nearly three years later Dear Evan Hansen is here for the first time in Detroit, running through October 9th. This show is a contemporary musical with songs written by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. Professionally known as Pasek and Paul, the duo has written songs for well-known movies such as La La Land and The Greatest Showman. Pasek and Paul met at our very own hometown favorite, the University of Michigan, and have since gone on to win critical acclaim and have swiftly become a fan favorite in the Broadway community.

National Alliance for Musical Theatre has announced preliminary casting and additional programming for their 34th Annual FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS, which returns in person and takes place on Thursday, October 20 and Friday, October 21, 2022, at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues).

The Salt Lake City premiere of Disney’s The Lion King opened on Friday, September 30 at 7:30pm at the Eccles Theater for a limited engagement of 4 weeks through Sunday, October 23.  In Salt Lake City, The Lion King will play Tuesdays through Thursdays at 7:30pm, Thursday, Sept. 29 and Thursday, Oct. 20 at 2pm, Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 2:00pm and 8:00pm and Sundays at 1:00pm and 6:30pm.
