The Lucille Lortel Theatre has purchased a three-story carriage house in Chelsea which will help support emerging artists, the creation of new theatrical works, and bolster New York’s iconic downtown theatre scene.

In this latest edition of WorkSessions, a project of New Dance Alliance, longtime colleagues Karen Bernard, Rachel Thorne Germond, Jil Guyon, and Lisa Parra present a series of installations and performances in a salon-like setting. Sarasota Jewish Theatre announces a change in one of its upcoming plays this season. Due to a scheduling conflict, Family Secrets by Sherry Glaser will replace Collected Stories, on March 22-27, 2023.

To mark the relevance of this culturally defining era, The Crown has partnered with 90’s powerhouse Faithless to remix Hans Zimmer’s iconic theme tune. The Birdland Jazz Club and Theater has released their programming from March 28th through April 10th. Artists appearing at Birdland Jazz Club include Emmet’s Place: Emmet Cohen Trio Featuring Special Guests, Ed Neumeister’s Assembláge Jazz Orchestra, Ravi Coltrane Quartet, and John Minnock with Dave Liebman. 

San Diego Opera's 2021 2022 will close with the West Coast Premiere of Aging Magician a hybrid opera/theatre piece that combines singing, choral work, puppetry, and performance art to create an incredibly unique theatrical experience.

Shakespeare's Globe has announced the Summer Season 2022 full of pomp, pageantry, politics, and power.

CABARET and Theater West End are a match made in the heavens of art direction, so much so that it’s nearly a wonder they hadn’t staged it here til now. The plexiglass partitions even hint at the giant mirror that faced this show’s earliest audiences on Broadway — I caught reflections from performers and patrons on several occasions (including my own) and smiled in appreciation of the unintended nod.

After a year of virtual productions, Shakespeare by the Sea has announced its return to live performances at Point Fermin Park in San Pedro. Following all LA County Health Department safety protocols, SBTS is presenting the two shows originally slated for summer 2019.
