Sierra Repertory Theatre opens its 2018 season with Mamma Mia!, the international smash-hit musical. ABBA's hits tell the hilarious story of a teen's search for her birth father on a Greek island paradise. Mamma Mia! is directed and choreographed by Valerie Rachelle, music directed by John C. St. Ann's Warehouse presents the American Premiere of Schaub hne Berlin's Returning to Reims, an adaptation of French author Didier Eribon's memoir of the same name, directed by Berlin auteur Thomas Ostermeier, February 4-25. This production marks the first collaboration between St. Ann's and the Schaub hne, whose production of Richard III recently garnered acclaim in BAM's Next Wave Festival.

Instead of the poker party that begins the original version, Ms. Madison has invited the girls over for a game of Trivial Pursuit (and Mr. Simon gets more mileage out of those real 1980's Trivial Pursuit questions than we ever thought possible!) The upstairs Pidgeon sisters neighbors are replaced by the hilarious Constanzuela brothers, two 'classy Spanish gentlemen in double-breasted suits.' The Odd Couple - Female Version is a perfect opportunity to warm up the midwinter with laughter and friendship.
